Aachen
Day 1-2
Arrive in Aachen, where you would be meeting your guide for this trip as well as the other participants joining from various parts of Germany & Europe. If you arrive early, then there would be time for a short 3-4 km city tour through the city of Aachen, royal residence of the emperor Charlemagne (Karl der Große), coronation site of 30 Holy Roman emperors and of German kings.

Monschau
Day 2-3
Today we head to Monschau, to start our hike where we would be hiking along the river Rur and go through picturesque forest, over stony paths. The first point is the castle of Monschau, build at the beginning of the 13th century. Monschau is fantastic from a bird's eye view, and we would enjoy it, hiking up to the hills. On our return to Monschau, we would have some time to enjoy this beautiful village, and it’s famous "Venice view".

Monschau
Day 3
Brackvenn moor: Today we would be doing a short hike around the Brackvenn moor, that was formed around 10,000 to 11,000 years ago at the end of the last ice age. This area is characterized by a high nature conservation value, with very rare animal and plant species. The trail is located directly on the Belgian Border. Post the hike, we head to Aachen train station to conclude our weekend of hiking in the Eifel region.
