Hiking and History tour in Azerbaijan

With Azerbaijan being a country that has a little bit of everything to offer, our trip will take you through a well-rounded journey, from the city life, the old and the new, all the way to the natural landscapes of the villages. Our trip activities will range from walking tours around the old town and historical landmarks around Baku, before embarking on a series of hiking trips in the North and South. - DAY 1-2: Stay in Baku, Old City Tour - DAY 2: Mud Volcano & Fire Temple Tour - DAY 3-4: North of Azerbaijan Hiking Trip, Ecotour and Homestay - DAY 5-6: Tiny Villages in Hirkan National Park - DAY 7: Chilled Day in Baku, Open for Solo Activities - DAY 8: End of Trip HIKES LEVELS - First day in the north, we will head to one of the most ancient mountain villages - Khinalig in the morning and do an easy hike to Galakhudat (150 m elevation gain and 100 m elevation loss with 8.3 km distance) after lunch. Second day, we will have a bit of a difficult hike (800m e.gain, 1000m e.loss and 11 km distance) to Griz village. But we will have enough time to relax and hike slowly. - For the two days in the south, we have a total of 22 km distance to be hiked with 1100 m e.gain and 1700 m e.loss. OUTDOOR GEAR LIST FOR HIKING: - Important to have: Waterproof hiking/trekking shoes Insulated jackets Backpack (30-40L) Daily water supply (1.5L) - Recommended: Sunglasses and sunscreen Hat or cap Hiking/trekking sticks Gaiters etc. TRANSPORT Mercedes Sprinter (18 seats for passengers) NIVA LADA 4X4 in Griz village (3 seats for passengers) FOOD - Breakfast is included for our hotel in Baku. Lunch and dinner in the city are NOT included in the cost. A list of for restaurants and interesting authentic-cuisine activities will be provided if interested. - Breakfast, lunch and dinner are included throughout all the regions tour. *If you have any dietary restrictions or allergies, please inform us in advance during the booking of the tour. ACCOMMODATION Will we be constantly in and out of our main hotel in the city between trips, so light packing is highly advised. Stay in Baku will be on day 1 upon arrival, check out on day 3 morning. Then check in on day 4 evening, and check out on day 5. Finally, check in on day 6 evening, and last check out on day 8. THE PRICE INCLUDES: - Transportation from day 2-6, from hotel to hotel, and all commute services during the tours.
