Grand Tour of Egypt - Desert oasis of Siwa and Pyramids of Giza! (part 1)

This tour will take you to the remote Oasis of Siwa in western Egypt! An ancient settlement with a slow pace of life, lost in time, where an olive tree lined lake remarkably appears in the middle of the Sahara. You will visit the crystal clear salt lakes and experience weightlessness. Ancient abandoned villages still stand which you can wander around endlessly and donkeys roam the streets freely. These ruins are far more vast than those in the typical tourist locations, and with luck we'll have this place pretty much to ourselves. This truly hidden gem is far less travelled by tourists than the rest of Egypt due to its remote location, but the cultural rewards make this one of the most impressive and unique places you'll ever visit. Cleopatras bath, the view from the fort and the local olive based cuisine are just some of the highlights you will take away from this experience. When back in Cairo we will visit the great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx - on a choice of Camel or horseback! The last remaining of the seven wonders of the ancient world - 5000 years of history before your eyes, the pyramids have seen almost 2 million sunsets!
