Semporna is a beautiful coastal town in Sabah, Malaysia, known for its stunning marine biodiversity (and as a gateway to the world-renowned diving destination, Sipadan Island. Some of us here called it "Little Maldives of Malaysia" So, Let's explore and venture into this exciting trip, girls! My plan is: You girls will arrive at Tawau International Airport and immediately reach out for any available rented van to Semporna (1 hour 30 min more or less). I will welcome you to a location that will be assigned before our trip. We then will take a 30-minute boat ride to check in at one of the resorts located in the middle of the ocean. Once we settle down with everything, we will have a little get-together session where we can have a chat with one another and of course, delicious local cuisine will be served! During our 6 days and 5 nights, I plan to visit 6 islands including Mataking, Pom Pom, Timba-Timba, Sibuan, Bohey Dulang, and Sipadan Island for us to enjoy sunbathing by the beach, snorkeling, or even diving in the crystal-clear waters to witness the rich marine life and coral reefs. Of course, in between the times we are there, you girls will have your own time to enjoy the wholesomeness of the place we visit.
About me! Fun fact about me: I'm a 36-year-old Malaysian who goes by the name Cika, originally from Selangor (peninsular Malaysia). I've experienced traveling to 17 countries (as a backpacker) and I'm also experienced in handling a backpacking trip (Turkiye, Western & Eastern Europe, Asia). Details about the Accommodation: A small resort in the middle of the ocean for our extensive island trip experience. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be served during our stays and we will try to get a local selling seafood in their tiny boat and ask the resort's chef to cook us delicious meals! Lato Lato Resort
Day 1-2
Lato Lato Resort is the only resort that has a panoramic Tun Sakaran Marine Park. It's in the middle of the sea built on stilts on top of corals in the shallow waters off the coast of Semporna. Breakfast, Lunch, and Dinner will be served throughout the stay. Snorkeling equipment can be borrowed at the resort (FREE OF CHARGE). We will be staying here throughout the 6 Days and 5 Nights trip. And of course, there will be an arrangement for continuous island hopping from Day 2 to Day 5. *The arrangement of accommodation might change depending on its availability (nothing to worry) ;)

Mataking Island
Day 2
A small tropical island located in the Celebes Sea, off the east coast of Sabah, Malaysia. It is part of the Tun Sakaran Marine Park, which is known for its stunning marine biodiversity and is a popular destination for divers and snorkelers. The island is particularly famous for its crystal-clear waters, vibrant coral reefs, and diverse marine life, including various species of fish, turtles, and other marine creatures.

Timba Timba Island
Day 2
Much known for its long white sandy beach and photogenic landscape, Timba-Timba Island attracts island hoppers that look forward to picture-perfect beach holidays. Every corner is an opportunity to pose, snap and take more photos. Although there is no accommodation on the island, basic facilities like the toilets, shelters and beach chairs are conveniently made available for visitors. Rest at the gazebo, lounge on the hammock or perhaps find your sunbathing spot by the beach. The alluring blue hues surrounding the islands make it so irresistible that you want to have a swim on it. Be sure to come prepared with your swimsuit and snorkelling gears! For divers, this is your chance to discover the macro life at the 10 dive sites around Timba-Timba Island. Frogfish, moray eels, barracudas and nurse sharks are commonly encountered here.

Pulau Pom Pom
Day 2
Pom Pom Island is another beautiful tropical island located in the Celebes Sea, off the east coast of Sabah, Malaysia, similar to Mataking Island. It is part of the Celebes Sea and is known for its pristine beaches, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant marine life. Suggested Activities: diving, snorkeling & visiting turtle conversation sanctuary.

Pulau Sibuan
Day 2-3
Known for its stunning white sandy beaches, crystal-clear waters, and vibrant marine life, making it a popular destination for snorkelers and divers. Sibuan Island is celebrated for its picturesque beaches with soft, powdery white sand and clear turquoise waters. Visitors are often captivated by the island's natural beauty, making it an ideal spot for relaxation and taking in the scenery.

Day 3
Bohey Dulang is a stunning island located within the Tun Sakaran Marine Park in Sabah, Malaysia. This marine park is often referred to as Semporna Islands Park and encompasses a group of islands known for their rich marine biodiversity and natural beauty. Bohey Dulang, in particular, is renowned for its picturesque landscapes and attractions.

Sipadan Island
Day 3-4
Sipadan is a world-renowned island located in the Celebes Sea off the east coast of Sabah, Malaysia. It is often considered one of the top diving destinations in the world and is famous for its exceptional marine biodiversity and stunning underwater landscapes. Diving at Sipadan requires obtaining a permit, and these permits are limited in number, so it's advisable to plan and book your dive trips well in advance. The permits are typically arranged through licensed dive operators.

Lato Lato Resort
Day 4-6
Last day before check out, we will use this opportunity to enjoy the scenic view of Semporna Island, Sabah from our accommodation. Here you can still do some activities such as swimming, kayaking and snorkeling. It's also our last time to chill and relax after a very long and super packed trip and maybe the time to share our photos from the trip with each other! ;) *The arrangement of accommodation might change depending on its availability (nothing to worry) ;)
