Trip Itinerary
1

Dakar

Day 1-4
We will see the capital of Senegal and spend time on the beach. From Dakar we will make several excursions at the beginning.
2

Dakar

Day 4-5
We take the ferry to the island of Gorée to spend the day there. Gorée is an island off the coast of Senegal. It became known as a symbol of the abduction of slaves across the Atlantic. We will explore the island and visit the museum "House of Slaves" (Maison des Esclaves). From the top of the island we will have a beautiful view of the island and the sea.
3

Niaga

Day 5-6
Trip to the famous pink lake! Lac Retba, also called Lac Rose, is a salt lake 35 km northeast of the capital Dakar. Because of its unique pink color caused by bacteria, especially visible in the dry season, Lac Rose got its name. The lake is so salty that one can float on the water as in the Dead Sea.
4

Bandia

Day 6-7
On this day we will drive to Bandia Nature Reserve. Bandia offers a large number of animals that have otherwise disappeared in this area of Africa. Especially rhinos have found a new home here. But there are also gazelles, giraffes, antelopes, jackals and mongooses. Buffalo and monkeys are also present. Furthermore, you can admire giant tortoises, crocodiles and a rich bird life!
5

Saint Louis

Day 7-9
On we go to Saint Louis! Due to its location - the heart of the city is an elongated island separated from the mainland - Saint Louis is considered the Venice of Africa. Since 2000, Île de Saint-Louis has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
6

Debi

Day 9-10
Djoudj National Park in northern Senegal forms the third largest bird reserve in the world! It is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Especially in February, thousands of migratory birds from Europe can be observed here, as well as many other, sometimes rare, species: pelicans, flamingos, storks, cormorants, crowned cranes, ospreys, etc.
7

Banjul

Day 10-13
From Senegal we now continue to Gambia: We take a city tour of Banjul and visit the Arch 22 Triumphal Arch, the National Museum and the Albert Market street market.
8

Serrekunda

Day 13-14
The Serekunda area is known for its beautiful beaches. We will visit there among other things the huge market and the Monkey Park.
9

Dakar

Day 14-16
From Banjul we go back to Dakar, return flight the next day. I am sure we will take home unforgettable impressions :)
