Guided trip
Glad you're here because I want to tell you about this trip idea I've had 😬 Our meeting point will be in Milan, where we will be staying in a lovely apartment, close to Stazione Centrale, great for easily getting to other places. During the days we will be in Milan, we'll explore its architecture, culture, food, art, and fashion scene, including some vintage clothing shops. On the second day of our trip, however, we will venture towards Lake Como for a whole day experience there. Sounds fun? Let me give you some more details: 🙋Who am I? Alex here! I am a relaxed guy with an adventurous side, always eager to discover more: a new cultural thing of a country I've been to multiple times; a way of cooking/eating something I haven't thought of before; someone new who shares a common interest in discovery. Do I prefer being out all day or having a lazy morning? The answer is YES, but it usually depends on who I am traveling with 😬 🏨 Where are we staying? I've booked this 2-bedroom apartment near Stazione Centrale. There will be 1 room with 3 single beds and 1 room with two single beds. Are you feeling a bit unsure about sharing a room with a stranger? Well, bring a friend then! 📍 What are we actually gonna do? Check the trip itinerary below 👇 💰✅ What's included in the trip cost: - Accommodation (Shared Rooms) - Travel on our day trip to Lake Como - 24/7 support - Travel insurance (for TripMates from Germany and Austria only) 💰🚫 What's not included: - Travel to and from Milan (but let me know if you need me, I can help you with that) - Travelling around Milan (a 3-day public transportation pass is 13€) - Entry tickets to galleries, museums, and other points of interest (normal tickets are around 15€) - Food and drinks (but don't worry, we'll figure out the best options for the group, while also enjoying what Milan has to offer culinary, mixologically and espresso-ly) - House slippers - so if you need them, bring them 😬 ❗️Things to consider before reserving your spot: - As mentioned before, we will be sharing an apartment. I will do my best to make sure that our vibes align, but if you want to do this trip, yet you are a bit unsure about sharing a room with someone you don't know, why not ask someone you know to join you on this trip? - This is going to be a relaxed trip - yes, we will be out most of the time, but we will not rush to see as many things as possible. I want this to be an enjoyable experience for everyone rather than remembering it as "exhausting". - The plan is to get moving from day one, so if you can get to the accommodation around 2 pm, that would be great. Don't worry if not, we'll find a solution once the group is complete. ❓Any questions? Send them my way, and I will answer as soon as possible. *Please be aware that as much as I plan ahead, I can never be sure about how the weather is going to be, so we might have to change our plans if heavy rain or strong winds will not allow us to have a great time.

Trip Itinerary
1

Milan

Day 1-2
On our first day, we will meet around Stazione Centrale, easy to get to from any airport around Milan. We'll leave our luggage at the apartment, then we're off on our adventure. We'll visit the Milan Duomo, Galleria Vittorio Emanuele II, and admire the architecture around the area. We will also have a look at the vintage shops around the area.
2

Lake Como

Day 2
We will take a train from Stazione Centrale towards Como. There, we'll explore the town before boarding a ferry to Bellagio. Once we've made sure we've taken in the Bellagio energy (either by taking loads of pictures, strolling around the places, or enjoying an ice cream), we'll take the ferry once again to Varenna. There we'll stay for as long as we feel and then we'll take a train back to Milan.

Milan

Day 2-5
On day three, the plan is to visit Fondazione Prada, an art museum with plenty of exhibitions and an aesthetically pleasing café where we can enjoy a coffee, lunch, or both. In the afternoon, we can have a stroll around Brera, a very elegant neighborhood. Day four is the day we go and visit Armani Silos, a museum for all things Armani. I am not a fashion enthusiast, yet I enjoyed my experience there a lot. But if you don't feel like it and want to see more art, Mudec (another art museum) is close by. After that, we will have a walk around the Navigli, Milan's canals. Day five is sadly our departure day, but hopefully, we'll have time for one last espresso together.
