Hey TripMates!! My name is Orestis and I'm Greek! I'm originally from Zagoroxoria Greece but in 22 years, I've never been to my village. Zagoroxoria has to offer a wide variety of nature activities, such as rafting in Voidomatis River, exploring the 50+ villages in the region, and of course the grand finale of hiking up to Drakolimni Lake. It is said that little dragons live inside the lake 🐉 So the main purpose of this trip is to go rafting to Voidomatis River, explore as many villages in Zagoroxoria as possible, and hike to Drakolimni Lake which stands at a whopping 2050m 😍 If you're not eligible to climb and experience any heart problems or anything that can prevent you from climbing, please avoid this trip as it would be harmful to your health. Metsovo
Day 1-2
We start from Athens Greece by car and we head into Metsovo where we'll be staying for one night before going to Zagoroxoria. We'll explore the beautiful village and we'll eat at 5Φ, if you want to know more about 5Φ, just wait till you try the food 🤌

Papingo
Day 2-6
We arrive at Papingo Towers, where we'll be met by the guy that's going to get us into our room. We'll start exploring Papingo, and Mikro Papingo and we'll eat wherever you feel like eating 😊 All of our nights we'll be in Papingo Towers.

Vradeto
Day 6
Vradeto is where I'm from and I'm so excited for us to explore it together. If you're up to the challenge we'll also hike the mountain Mpeloi which overlooks the The Vikos Canyon, which is the deepest canyon in the world 🌎

Drakolimni
Day 6
The whole grail of this trip. A 4-hour hike, if you are not up to it please don't reach out. We'll find out if the myth about the dragons is correct and we'll eat at The Astraka Shelter The views are incredible and the pictures will not do it justice. Make sure you bring your best camera so you capture this incredible landscape.

Tsepelovo
Day 6
Tsepelov is one of the most famous villages in Zagoroxoria. It is said that the food there is incredible and they are well known for their orangeries. We can even spend some time with the locals there and do some small hikes around there, although not necessary
