Embark on an awe-inspiring journey to North Sikkim, nestled in the majestic Himalayas of India. This enchanting region is home to two breathtaking natural wonders: Gurudongmar Lake and Yumthang Valley. Gurudongmar Lake, situated at an altitude of 17,100 feet, is one of the highest lakes in the world. Its serene beauty captivates visitors with its crystal-clear turquoise waters, surrounded by snow-capped mountains and pristine glaciers. According to local folklore, the lake is considered sacred, and its water is believed to possess healing properties. The picturesque landscape and the tranquil ambience make Gurudongmar Lake a must-visit destination for nature enthusiasts and spiritual seekers alike. Just a scenic drive away lies the mesmerizing Yumthang Valley, often referred to as the "Valley of Flowers." Located at an altitude of 11,800 feet, this valley blooms with a myriad of vibrant flowers, creating a breathtaking carpet of colours against the backdrop of majestic snow-covered peaks. During spring, the valley transforms into a paradise as rhododendrons, primulas, and other alpine flowers bloom in abundance.
