I'm Daniele, 31 years old Italian guy. I grew up in Rome and traveled a lot since I was a child. Travel has always been one of my greatest passion, if not the first. Meeting peoples, discovering the world and the thousands of cultures that belong to it, try all possible foods and different tastes the earth can offer, opening the mind to new ways of doing and living, enjoying the trip with the eyes of a child. 🌍🚶♀️ About my past, I've been studying in Florida (USA) during my twenties to become an airplane pilot, then came back to Rome at 22 and at 24 I joined the University of Pisa and took a bachelor in International Cooperation. I've been working as pilot in a commercial airline from my 26 until my 31, then I retired from that job and start traveling around and enjoying life. 😁 This will be my first trip as a Trip Leader with JoynMyTrip, I don't believe in strict itinerary but rather in dynamic one, so if you have any suggestion or desire, please feel free to say it out, I'll be happy to add/change activities based on groups preferences. 🤗
About the accommodation, you will stay in one of Rome's best "youth" hostel (based on availability, the hostel can change, but I guarantee strategic position in/near the center and a relaxing/friendly, clean environment) located in the center near the most famous monuments but also near enough to enjoy Rome's vibrant nightlife 🍻. The room will be a shared big room for 4+ persons with bunk beds and shared bathroom (there's the possibility also to book and share a double single beds room or to stay in a private room with a price supplement). Day 1
WELCOME TO THE ETERNAL CITY Welcome to Rome, the eternal city. Be ready to be amazed from the history, food, peoples and art of this magnificent city. On the day of arrival, I will pass and pick you up at the meeting point: Termini Station (if you arrive by plane, you can either take a bus or a city train to get to Termini station). Activities will be based on time of arrival of every TripMates: - If most of you arrives in the afternoon: I will pass and pick you up at the meeting point (Termini train station). From there we'll move to the hostel, check in and some free time to relax. We'll get back again in the evening to explore the surrounding and have dinner together in Trastevere district, with a first taste of real roman life; - If most of you arrives in the morning: I will pass and pick you up at the meeting point (Termini train station). From there we'll move to the hostel, check in and some free time to relax. We'll get back again in the afternoon to explore the surroundings, have a wonderful sunset view over Rome while enjoying a very Italian aperitif and then have dinner together in Trastevere district, with a first real taste of roman life. 😊

Day 1-2
ANCIENT ROME On the second day get ready to be enraptured from the endless history of this city, made of greatness and decline, legends and truth, man and gods. We'll explore the most famous monuments, and we'll be thrown back of 2000 years with stories and legends that surround them. Ready to walk in history? We'll meet at your hostel in the morning and heading toward the famous Colosseum. We'll have a guided tour to better explore and get an insight of the legends that surrounds the magnificent 2000 years old monument. 🏛 Finished the tour we'll start a wonder walk 🤩 in the amazing streets of Rome (we could rent bicycles, electric pull scooter or just walking), we'll pass near the most famous attractions while listening to the stories hidden behind them (Fontana di Trevi, Piazza di Spagna, Piazza del Popolo, Via del Corso, Piazza Navona, Pantheon, Domus Aurea and for sure San Pietro), having a stop for lunch in an authentic roman restaurant and continue the wonder walk or just walk around and get lost in the eternal city. We'll continue the tour during the afternoon to end up enjoying a wonderful sunset over Rome from a strategic position (only locals know it) 😍. I'll drive you back to the hostel for a free night.

Day 2-3
STREET ART / MODERN ROME On the third day you will be dipped into real romanity. You'll have the opportunity to get a privileged point of view to really know the deep soul of this city, made of markets, street art, food, traffic, chaos and beauty, tiny streets that end up in giant squares, etc... We'll get away from the touristic path and walk on more local paths, exploring and getting to know the costumes, traditions and way of living of the peoples who lives this city every day. We'll meet at the hostel in the morning and heads toward Campo de Fiori, one of Roma's most famous and ancient square. There we'll walk through the vibrant morning market where you'll be dipped into real romanity. Before lunch, we'll move to San Lorenzo district (district can change based on street art tour availability), one of the most ancient district in Rome. There we'll have a stop for lunch and after it, we'll start our street art tour where we will discover the amazing murals which will gives you a better insight of Rome real heart. 🎨 We'll head back to the hostel to relax and enjoy some free time, then we'll meet again for dinner, which will take place in Pigneto district. After dinner, we'll taste some crafted beer in one of the different place located in the district 🍻 and just chill around in one of the most beautiful and vibrant nightlife district Rome can offer.

Day 3-4
TIME TO SAY GOODBYE On the fourth day, you'll be leaving Rome with totally different eyes. At the end of this trip, Rome will not only be the eternal city made of monuments and history, but also an intense and dynamic city, made of peoples, traditions, art, food and many other things who made this place really unique. The planning is based on time of leaving of TripMates: - If leaving in the morning, we'll meet at the hostel, and I'll drive you to the airport/train station (we'll organize to go all together); - If leaving in the afternoon, you'll have a free morning, and we could meet for lunch. After it, I'll drive you to the airport/train station (we'll organize to go all together). Before leaving, I'll give you a little gift/souvenir. I hope every time you'll look at it, it will bring the amazing memories of these 4 days back to your mind, painting a natural and happy smile on your face 😊.
