Guided trip
Hi, my name is Harry Henry, I'm an interior designer and I love travelling so much. There is so much more to discover beyond the most popular place in the country-Bali. Lake Toba is one from the top destinations list in Indonesia with an amazing history and I would gladly introduce and showing it to all people around the world. Located in North Sumatra, this enormous volcanic crater lake ( the biggest on the planet ) is now a peaceful paradise, a true Indonesia beauty, belying its violent beginnings. Roughly 74,000 years ago, this caldera was formed in an epic volcanic eruption - the biggest recorded on earth in 25 million years. Nowadays, it's perfectly safe. Samosir island ( the same size as Singapore ) lies in the center of the lake and draws both local and International tourists. People come to experience the unique Batak culture, enjoy a cooler climate than the lowland regions, and marvel at the out-of-this-world scenery. Think soaring cliffs, tumbling waterfalls, emerald-green rice fields, and that endlessly sparkling lake. Many panoramas around the lake look like something from a postcard of the Swiss Alps in summer. However, the Batak houses with their distinctive sloped rooves are characteristic of the area's architecture. The jaw-dropping scenery and endless tranquility alone make Lake Toba one of the best places to visit in Indonesia. On the last day of this trip, I will bring you guys to an amazing clear blue river trekking experiences in Langkat. I am sure you guys will really enjoy this activities if you are a nature lovers. The trip price includes: - Hotel or Villa Accommodation for all 8 nights, with breakfast included for 5 day - Guiding & organizing fee - Boat Trip Tour in Lake Toba - Transportation - Entry ticket fee for all activities I will drop some more details on the stops during this trip, and if you are interested, i would gladly explain and provide any details that you need !

Berastagi

Day 1-2
Berastagi, a tourist town, is another lovely town located in Karo highlands. It will take about 2 hours roadtrip from Medan city. The city is known for its plantations and various kinds of flowers, vegetables and fruit, most famous which is Marquisa passion fruit. From this city, the visitors will enjoy charming scenery to the active mountainside, which are Sibayak Mountain and Sinabung Mountain.

Air Terjun Sipiso Piso

Day 2-3
The Sipiso Piso Waterfall is one of the nicest falls in Sumatra, and also one of the tallest waterfalls in Indonesia. It’s a 120 meter (400 foot) giant that flows into the famous Lake Toba in North Sumatra, surrounded by farms and highland scenery. The entrance and parking area for the waterfall sits on a big hill above it, so as soon as you arrive you’re treated to a panoramic view of both the waterfall and Lake Toba in the distance — no hiking needed! The hike down to the bottom of the falls is also worthwhile if you have time. It takes about 30-40 minutes each way, and you can get some better pictures at the bottom. The path is pretty worn, but still mostly paved. There are a bunch of scenic viewpoints along the way, but the most amazing thing is to see the waterfall up close. You can walk directly to the edge of the falls, where there’s a huge amount of wind and spray! After visiting Sipiso piso waterfall, we will be heading and stay in Taman Simalem Resort, which have one of the best views of Lake Toba, there will be so much activities that we can do on this resort, such as enjoying a breathtaking sun rise view of the Lake Toba, trekking to waterfalls, and much more !
3

Bukit Sibea-Bea

Day 3-4
Sibea-Bea Hills is a religious tourism attraction nestled in Harian Kobo, Samosir. This place offers the best view of hills surrounding Lake Toba, which can be a perfect place for anyone with family and friends to have a vacation. What makes Sibea-Bea Hill categorized as a religious tourist destination is the large Jesus Statue on the hill, which is still in progress. The statue is planned to be around 61 meters tall when it is finished. This makes it taller than the statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, which is around 38 meters, and the statue of Christ the Protector in Encantado, Brazil, which is planned to be around 48 meters. After visiting Sibea bea hills, we will be heading to the next spot, Holbung Hills. Holbung Hill is also referred to as Teletubbies Hill by the locals. This is because of its similarity with beauty and size. Not only does it provide an amazing view, The hill offers a refreshing atmosphere. From here, You can even see the majestic Pusuk Buhit and Lake Toba. All of these attractions make for great nature portraits.
4

Situmurun Waterfall

Day 4-5
Situmutun waterfall is different from other waterfalls. The water flows directly from Situmurun Waterfall to Lake Toba. The height of the 7 levels of the waterfall is about 70meters. Situmurun Waterfall is about 70 kilometres from Balige City. The site is in Situmurun Village, Lumban Jalu District, Toba Samosir Regency. You can see the landscape of Lake Toba from here. Situmurun Waterfall is also known as Binangalom. The source of Situmurun Waterfall’s water is from Binangalom Village. In the Batak language, “Lom” means fresh, and “Binanga” means river. As the name implies, Situmurun Waterfall has fresh water. You can enjoy its beauty from the boat or swimming around it. If you are not good at swimming, you can use a buoy. Do not swim near the area where the waterfall falls because the water flow is very strong. Be careful because the rocks are slippery.

Desa Wisata Tomok Parsaoran

Day 5-6
Tomok Village is a small village on the east coast of Samosir Island, Lake Toba. It is located right on the edge of the connecting dock to Ajibata, Parapat. It is the traditional village well-known as the gateway to Samosir. The number of tombs and objects of ancient megalithic and ancient relics makes this location one of the most important cultural destinations on Lake Toba. For example, you can find here the sarcophagus big stone chieftain of Sidabutar, cut from a single block of stone. The face is carved with the lion face-mythical creature, partly bull, partly elephant. In the saddle-shaped lid is a small statue of a woman carrying the bowl believed to represent the dead chief’s wife.

This village still has a legacy of traditional Karo architecture. In ancient times this Lingga village had 80 units of traditional houses. Highly recommend this area to those who loves such Adreline rush. From raw jungle trekking to going down on slippery path and rocky steps before we get to the stunning looking waterfall with fallen trees and beautiful cold clear blue water. You have to fight through currents and steps to get to the other parts of the stream, getting upclose and personal with nature, admiring its beauty and at the same time. It will be around 2-3 hours journey from starting to finish point. I guarantee that you wont forget this place ever.
