Guided trip
Hi, India is my country and had been really close to my heart - now the time has come to show you my country from my (a local's) eyes. In September 2023, I would like to take you to explore my beautiful and diverse country for 3 weeks. I imagine this trip to be a mixture of sightseeing, living close to nature, experiencing the diverse culture, and last but not least, tasting the vastly diverse food from different parts of the country. I probably will be traveling with my wife and 4-month-old daughter, but there is always more fun with more people. This is why I am looking for 8-10 travel partners who would like to join us on this beautiful journey. As India is my hometown, you will be traveling with a local who knows the national language and the best ways to move within the country. I will be prepared to take you around the country as your friend, but not as your professional guide. :) I have already planned the places we are going to visit, however I am also open to any suggestions you may have. To move from point A to B we may be using a bus, train, or taxi. You will be experiencing this trip not just as a tourist, but as a local. I will be taking you to my family house and will be serving the local food cooked by my mother. You also will be meeting my friends' families in other parts of the country and experiencing the diverse culture and food. About myself: I am 30, and living close to Milan, Italy. Since my childhood, I have been traveling, and I believe traveling is a form of meditation for me. About my travel style: I am a bag packer however since this time I will have my little daughter on board, we will be staying in comfortable stays. What is included in the price? - Food - Accommodation (Shared rooms) - Transport within India - Camping on the river banks and mountains - Meditation classes from professionals - Visit Chaurasi Kuti (The Beatles Ashram, Rishikesh) - River rafting and MORE activities What is excluded? - Flight tickets from your country to India and back The necessary requirements (health documents, insurance, etc.) for the VISA to India are given and decided by the Embassy of India in your country of residence. All the processes will be performed by you (TripMate) to get your VISA. I am keeping this trip 5 months from now so that we can all have the necessary documents beforehand. :) Would you like to join my little cultural and food expedition to India? Drop me a message, I am looking forward to hearing from you! Your travel buddy, Sanchit Singh, signing off!

New Delhi

Day 1-2
The capital of India, New Delhi, for me, is also the capital of food in India ;). It is going to be great! We will arrive in peace, let the jet lag die down and then go out Sightseeing. Connaught Place, Red Fort, Lotus Temple, Qutub Minar and on and on, we will not have a chance to get bored here. Since New Delhi will be our trip ending point too, you will get a good time to even shop for gifts for your loved ones before leaving India. ;) So in the beginning New Delhi will be our spot to come out from jet lag however if you want to see the city and go around, you are most welcome. 🤗 On the 2nd day in the afternoon, we will leave for Rishikesh, either by a minibus or taxi, and reach our hotel in Rishikesh by night time.
2

Rishikesh

Day 2-5
Rishikesh is a city in India’s northern state of Uttarakhand, in the Himalayan foothills beside the Ganges (Ganga) River. As most of you will know, the Ganges (Ganga) is considered a holy river. The city offers beautiful temples and ashrams with an everlasting view of the Ganga and Himalayas. Rishikesh is renowned as a center for studying yoga and meditation. We will have a lot of things to do here, visiting from The Beatles Ashram to river rafting, riverside camping and much more.
3

Manali

Day 5-9
Manali is a high-altitude Himalayan resort town in India’s northern Himachal Pradesh state. Situated in the middle of the Himalayas this place has my heart ❤️ We will be staying in one of the many home stays here for 4 nights and visit different places around the city, go trekking, visit one of my friends and his family in the region and much more. 😍
4

Jaipur

Day 9-11
Jaipur is the capital of India’s Rajasthan state. It evokes the royal family that once ruled the region in 1727, and founded what is now called the Old City, or “Pink City” for its trademark building color. We will roam around the city witnessing all the historical monuments. Amer Fort, City Palace, Hawa Mahal, Etc along with the diverse Rajasthani food 🥘 😍
5

Agra

Day 11-13
The City of Taj Mahal, Agra is situated on the banks of the Yamuna River in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh about 230 km from New Delhi. We will take a walk on the campus of the masterpiece built with ivory-white marble, built for the wife of, Mughal Emperor Shah Jahan, Mumtaz. One of the 2 days we will also take a walk in the iconic Agra fort as well, along with having to taste one of the best sweets found in Agra called Petha. 😍
6

Varanasi

Day 13-17
Varanasi is a city in the northern Indian state of Uttar Pradesh dating to the 11th century B.C. Regarded as the spiritual capital of India. The city draws Hindu pilgrims who bathe in the Ganges River’s sacred waters and perform funeral rites. Along the city's winding streets are some 2,000 temples, including Kashi Vishwanath, the “Golden Temple,” dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. Every evening here happens Aarti (Prayer in Hindi) on the river banks in which hundreds of devotees take part. One of these days we will also take part in the Aarti.

New Delhi

Day 17-20
As promised, towards the end of our trip we will have almost three days in Delhi to roam around the city witnessing and experiencing the history, streets, food, people, markets, etc in the capital of my country. On day 21 of our trip will come the hard part of saying goodbyes. Saying goodbyes are never easy but I am sure by then we will have so many beautiful memories to take back home. ❤️
