Guided trip
Egypt has been on my bucket list for a long time now, and not just since my Middle Eastern Studies. It has always been a dream of mine to tour Egypt from A to Z and dive in-depth into their culture and history. Since I could not find any tour package/trip like that, I designed my own trip. šŸ¤© What to expect from the trip?: It includes enough days in Cairo to learn more about the history of the city and see the Great Pyramids of Giza, the classic Nile River Cruise starting from Luxor and ending in Aswan/Abu Simbel. We will finish off the trip with relaxation on the beach. In this trip we will use all modes of transportation: buses, trains, planes, boats, horses, and even a balloon! We will share rooms, since that's the whole point of traveling together: better prices for us! If you're in for an adventure with a travel expert who is familiar with the local culture and language, join my trip! šŸ“ Some activities & stops include: - Exploring Cairo (pyramids, mosques, street markets, etc.) - Luxor - Nile cruise And more! For a detailed description of our daily activities, consult the itinerary below! šŸ’° What's included: - Domestic flights and transport - Accommodation (shared room) āŒ Not included: - Flights from your home country to and from Cairo - Entrance fees; they are very cheap, though, e.g. pyramids 10ā‚¬ - Food; I have no problem eating local foods, this is also a cheaper option. Optional: - Hot Balloon over the Pyramids (app. 50ā‚¬) - Horseback Riding (to be negotiated with the group) - Boat tour, diving or snorkeling in the Red Sea (to be negotiated with the group) Covid-19 regulations: None, except a declaration form, that you will have to fill in before departing from your home country. Check the regulations of your airline carrier, though, they might require a vaccine, mask and/or a test. Mask mandate might be in place in some areas of the country. Visa: On arrival or eVisa for 25USD. Passport must be valid 6 months after departure. There might be issues if you have an Israeli stamp in your passport. Health: For vaccinations and other preventions, we can either discuss this if you are interested in the trip or consult your general practitioner. Join me on this A to Z trip of Egypt and let's dive into the culture & history of this country together!

Trip Itinerary

Kairo

Day 1-3
Day 1: Arrival in Cairo I will be arriving from Germany. I know, the trip is kind of short-notice, but flight prices are really good from Germany right now. Day 2: Exploring Cairo Cairo is huge and there is a lot to see. One museum will do it for me, as I am more interested in the mosques, Coptic churches, architecture and street markets. We can do these activities together or separately. I also have friends there, so I will definitely meet with them, too. We can have dinner together, Im sure they can show us good local places. :) Day 3: Exploring Cairo and transfer to the Great Pyramids.
2

Pyramiden von Gizeh

Day 3-5
On our 3rd day in Cairo, transfer to the Great Pyramids in the evening. We are going to spend two nights there, so we can do the hot air balloon tour and/or even explore the pyramids on horse back. On our 5th day, we are taking a flight to Luxor in the evening.
3

Luxor

Day 5-7
There are pretty nice hotels, so we will spend 2 nights in Luxor, do the obligatory sightseeing and depart on the 3rd day for the Nile Cruise. We can do the sightseeing together or separately - Im pretty flexible.

Day 10-15
We will travel from Aswan via train to Luxor, then by bus to Hurghada. We will be on the road all day and arrive in Hurghada in the evening. Here we will spend 5 nights, where we can relax or experience more adventures!
7
