An epic adventure through Egypt awaits you this coming September 2023 covering all the iconic places in Egypt and some of the unknown gems you will never hear about from an agency. Hi, my name is Carme, a 28-year-old girl from Spain who's been traveling solo since 2018. I've already organized a few trips to some foreign countries before, like Egypt, India, and Turkey, so I have experience as a tour leader and I must say I really enjoy sharing my passion for traveling with other people. Egypt is one of the areas in the world I explored the most because I've found something special there which keeps calling me back again and again. In this new edition of Egypt Expedition, I am looking for 5-10 adventurous people who want to experience 10 days full of adventure around Egypt with me. This experience is made for people with an energetic attitude, who are willing to face discomfort, walk a lot, to be moving fast, etc. About the Accommodation: The accommodation will be mainly hostels. We'll be sharing the room so by the end of the trip we'll know who's the snorer haha. Most of the time (depending on the number of people in the group) we have our own room for all our crew. The trip prices include: - Hostels - Transport for long distances - Some activities (Desert safari, Luxor hot air balloon, local tour guide) - My guidance service. In this adventure, we will enjoy a tour that will take us into the mysterious Egyptian culture from north to south covering the most iconic places as well as some of the most unknown gems in Egypt like Luxor, Aswan, Abu Simbel, Nubian Town, Al Fayoum Desert, Dahab, etc. Not only we will get the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to visit some of the most magnificent temples in the whole world, but we will also get the chance to embark on a felucca down the Nile River, we will visit some of the most important temples in the country: the temple of Karnak and Luxor, the Valley of the Kings, the Temple of Hatshepsut, etc. During our stay in Cairo, we will visit, among other things, the Pyramids of Giza and of course, the Great Sphinx that protects them. We will discover what authentic Cairo night is like, enjoying local food and music. We will camp in the desert under the big night sky, we will enjoy living the lifestyle of Bedouins. Cairo

Day 1-3

CAIRO (1 night/2 days): During these 2 full days in the great capital we will visit some of the most iconic places: the pyramids and the Sphinx of Giza, the Citadel, the Coptic Cairo, etc. Not only we will enjoy the historic side of Cairo, but we will also enjoy the delicious Egyptian food in some of the most iconic local restaurants. We will enjoy the night-life in Cairo on a faluca, sailing down the Nile River, smoking the local shisha who ever feels like trying it, etc. On the second day at night, we will take an overnight train to head to our following destination, Luxor. *OVERNIGHT TRAIN*

Luxor

Day 3-5

LUXOR (1 night/2 days): We will arrive to Luxor early morning. We will be picked up in the station and head straight to our guesthouse. From there we will go to the east side of the Nile River to visit that part of the city where the famous Karnak temple is located, the largest temple in all of Egypt, where a local guide will explain to us the majesty of that time. After that, we will enjoy some local food watching the sunset on the Nile River, and we'll go to rest because the next day we will get up around 3:30-4:00 am to enjoy this spectacular corner of the world from the clouds with a hot air balloon ride. After the balloon ride, we will go to have breakfast and get ready to visit the western part of Luxor where the Valley of the Kings, the Habu temple and the Hatshepsut temple are located. After this hectic day we will go to the train station to go to our next destination, Aswan, where we will arrive same day late at night (around 4h train to Aswan). Once we arrive in Aswan, we will go straight to our hostel and sleep.

Abu Simbel

Day 5-6

ABU SIMBEL (1-day trip): After a well rested night in Aswan, we will wake up around 7:00 to head up to the local bus station, where we will take the local bus to go to Abu Simbel, one of the most majestic temples in Egypt. This day trip to Abu Simbel will take the whole day. We will be back in Aswan around 7-8pm. Once we arrive in Aswan, we will eat dinner and go to rest. Next morning we will head up to the Nile river to meet up with our guide from the Nubian Villages, an African tribe who is still living in Egypt, and he will take us on his boat to enjoy Aswan and after the boat tour we will enjoy some local food from a Nubian family. The rest of the day we will enjoy it o buy some souvenir in Aswan and around evening time we will take an overnight train back to Cairo. *OVERNIGHT TRAIN*

Aswan

Day 6-8

ASWAN (2 night/2 days): After a well rested night in Aswan, we will wake up around 7:00 to head up to the local bus station, where we will take the local bus to go to Abu Simbel, one of the most majestic temples in Egypt. This day trip to Abu Simbel will take the whole day. We will be back in Aswan around 7-8pm. Once we arrive in Aswan, we will eat dinner and go to rest. Next morning we will head up to the Nile river to meet up with our guide from the Nubian Villages, an African tribe who is still living in Egypt, and he will take us on his boat to enjoy Aswan and after the boat tour we will enjoy some local food from a Nubian family. The rest of the day we will enjoy it o buy some souvenir in Aswan and around evening time we will take an overnight train back to Cairo. *OVERNIGHT TRAIN*

Faiyum

Day 8-11

AL FAYOUM (2 night/3 days): We will arrive to Cairo early in the morning with an overnight train. From there we will take a microbus to Al Fayoum (4-5 hours car ride) where we will have lunch and after that we will start the safari in a 4x4 car in the White Desert. We will enjoy 2 nights and 1 and a half day in one of the most unknown places in Egypt, the White Desert, a place which once belonged to the ocean, and now it's covered by sand dunes. We will enjoy 2 nights camping in the white desert with the Bedouins: sleeping under the starts, sandbording, swimming in natural spring, 4x4 experience, etc. On our second day, we will enjoy breakfast in the desert and after that we will head back to Bahariya Oasis where we will enjoy lunch and once we are finished we will go by private car back to Cairo. We will arrive in Cairo around 7-8pm. In Cairo, we will take an overnight bus to Dahab.

Dahab

Day 11-15

DAHAB (3 nights/4 days): We will arrive in the morning to the unique city of Dahab, in the Sinai Peninsula. Once we get there, we will leave our things at our hostel, and we will enjoy a well deserved breakfast in front of the sea. We will spend the rest of our days resting and enjoying the crystal blue waters of the Red Sea and the nature activities that Dahab has to offer. On our first day in Dahab, we will rest in the city, enjoying some snorkeling activities as well as the chill vibes of the downtown area. Next day we will head up to the Blue Lagoon by taxi, where there is the famous diving paradise, the Blue Hole. We will spend the day around the area, snorkeling, diving, rock climbing (all optional activities) and exploring the area, like the Abu Galum To Blue Hole Hike. On our third day, we will wake up very early to take a taxi to go to Mount Sinai and enjoy a sunrise hike. The rest of the day will be for resting as well as our last day in Dahab. On the fourth day at evening time, we will head up to the bus station to head up back to Cairo, our final destination.

Cairo

Day 15

Cairo (1 or half day): We will arrive morning time to Cairo on the 15th day from our sweet holidays in Dahab, and depending on the time of the flight back to our countries, we will finish the expedition doing some souvenir shopping and taking our last chance to enjoy the real Egyptian cuisine before we head up to the airport.
