Hi, I'm Y.E., a 44 year-old, self-confessed foodie and expat turned local who has been calling London my home for the past 4 years. I am from Malaysia originally, and have travelled to 34 countries, lived in 5 countries before finally settling down in London in 2019. What I am offering is not your usual touristy London guided trip so look away now if you are expecting the typical London tourist attractions such as Big Ben, Tower Bridge, London Eye, Oxford street..etc. Named as one of the best cities in the world in a recent survey, London has so much more to offer beyond the tourist attractions. I will show you my favorite hidden gems of the city and how to explore and enjoy London at a leisure, relaxing pace. Here's a list of some highlights of your trip: * Home cook dinners - learn how to make & enjoy delicious homecook meals from Cordon Bleu Paris trained private chef * Daily morning scenic run down the canal & local parks * Guided tour around Islington, my favourite neighbourhood in London * Gourmet picnic in the park or on a picnic boat while we cruise down the canal * Fun-filled comedy night at local pub * Night out at a jazz bar or a movie/play night independent boutique theatre (where you can order food & cocktails from the bar to be sent to your cozy sofa seat before the show begins) * Cozy night playing boardgames/watching Netflix/exchanging interesting world traveling stories with fellow trip mates over meals/drinks at the comfort of your cozy holiday apartment * Short trip to Whitstable, a quaint English seaside village where we will end the tour. You can opt to go back to London or stay longer/carry on your trip from Whitstable. The cost of the trip includes: i. Accommodations in London & Whitstable twin/double sharing bedroom in a cozy cottage/apartment (private room is subject to extra cost) ii. Free cooking lessons to make 2-3 simple but delicious meals (fresh pasta, Chinese/Malaysian cuisine, and a traditional French roasted chicken recipe. (cost of ingredients not included) iii. Gourmet picnic basket in the park/on the canal (with a hired boat) vi. Return train rides to Whitstable from London Expenses NOT included: i. Cost of your flights ii. London public transportation - train/bus/underground in London and Whitstable iii. Grocery and food shops for shared home cook meals during your stay iv. Other optional eating-out & activities expenses (eg bar, comedy show, play/movie, boat ride) and anything else not mentioned in the inclusion list For accommodation, you will be staying at a cozy and stylish townhouse close to central London (~15-30min on bus/train) and a seafront apartment or hotel in Whitstable, where everyone gets their private bedroom. Please note that in London, I won't be staying in the same apartment, but my flat will be nearby, and I will be joining everyone at the apartment first thing in the morning each day. If this sounds like your kind of city escapade, get in touch with me, and let's have a chat!
