East Asia Highlights - Explore Korea, Taiwan and Indonesia!

Hi! I am Marco, a passionate traveller, interested in Asia, its culture, languages, history and cuisine. I am interested in writing and reading. What's the plan? We start our trip by visiting Korea for 10 days! In Seoul, we will visit Gyeongju, where the Silla empire has left refined artifacts and amazing gold, preserved in the museum, in addition to the mysterious tumulus tombs and the oldest astronomical observatory in Korea. Next will be Taipei, but also the surrounding area, beaches and highlights. Known for centuries as Ihla Formosa, the beautiful island has it all: tropical beaches, deep gorges carved by rushing rivers, numerous thermal springs and mountains reaching nearly 4,000 metres. There are countless activities that can be done: surfing on one of the deserted beaches of the island, hiking in the middle of the jungle, tasting the original oolong tea in one of the many tea houses, enjoying an aboriginal dish in a mountain village or the more traditionalists go shopping in the capital Taipei moving with what is often defined as the cleanest subway in the world (and among all the ones I've tried I can say that it really is). The tropical climate favors the luxuriant growth of many fruit plants that we have never even seen or heard of, and thanks to its climate this island is also known as the kingdom of butterflies. At the end we will have a short trip to admire the sublime temple of Borobudur, near Yogyakarta, trying to spot the temple at the sunset and at dawn (sleeping in the area), exploration of Yogyakarta. Included in the price: - Accommodation (The accommodation can be shared/single/ double according to requests of the participants) - Basic transport - Entrance to museums, parks etc. Not included: - flights - Food Some details will be decided with the group, but it should be a cocktail of culture, nature, immersion in local culture, food, history and some beaches for relaxing (Korea and Taiwan). It would also be possible a short visit to Hong Kong.
