Switzerland

Grüezi zamme! My name is Jane, I am a Chinese student living in Switzerland! I can't wait to introduce you to the country of Mountains, Cheese, and Chocolate! How could you not love it already?! I want to plan a 5 days hiking trip around Switzerland. Starting from Basel/Zurich, we will visit the first Neuchâtel, where we can hike the Creux du Van. After we can head to Lausanne and enjoy the beautiful lake of Geneva. On the second day, we will head to Zermatt, and hike the 5 lakes trail on the top with the view of Matterhorn. We could either stay overnight there or head directly to Interlaken. Cause the day after we will go to Grindelwald to see the most amazing Jungfrau! We will spend a day there and at night go back to Interlake to sleep. On the fourth day we will explore the Swiss William Tell Path by the Lake of Lucerne, we could choose to continue to hike or take a boat is also an option! At night we will live in the city of Lucerne. I want to leave the last day unplanned, so we have a buffer zone for the group to decide freely, either a city tour or going back to nature ;) What's included in the price: - Accommodation, either a hostel in the city, or a Chalet in the mountains - Public transportation (train, bus, boat, cable car tickets) - Entrance tickets (if there are any) What's not included: - Daily meals, unless the hotel offers breakfast - Other entertainment activities other than hiking Got any questions? Neuchâtel

Day 1-2

On the first day, we will start from Basel or Zurich depending on your arrival, and we head to Neuchâtel in the morning. There we will arrive at the train station Noiraigue to visit the world-famous Sentier du Creux du Van. The entire hike is around 14 km, estimate hike duration would be 4 h 35 min, it's an Easy-Medium hike. We will spend the first night in a beautiful French-speaking city, Lausanne. Take your swimming suit with you and let's swim in the lake!

Zermatt

Day 2-3

On the second day, we will hike the Five-lake Trail in Zermatt. Here we will need to take a cable car to start from the <Blauherd cable car upper station>, from there we will hike 9km on the 2583 m altitude of the Alps. Around 2 h 30 min, we will come down from <Sunnegga cable car upper station>. It's also a medium hike, the best time to visit is around June to October!

Grindelwald

Day 3-4

Day 3 we will hike Eiger Trail, Grindelwald (Eigergletscher). The Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau (the Ogre, Monk and Maiden) – the world famous trio of mountain peaks – is the impressive backdrop to the Jungfrau region and has attracted tourists and mountaineers to the Bernese Oberland since pioneering days. The Jungfrau Railway is no less impressive, while the northern flank of the Eiger, with its vertical drop of more than 1600 metres, has always attracted the world's best climbers. It's a 6km hike on the altitude of 2320 m. Duration 1 h 55 min.

Lucerne

Day 4-5

On the last day, we will visit the Lake Lucerne. Hike the trail that is dedicated to Switzerland is just as diverse as the country itself. The path starts on the Rütli meadow, the birthplace of Switzerland, with the section that covers the founding cantons of Uri, Schwyz, Unterwalden, and Lucerne. As with half a dozen other stages of this 35-kilometer long “Swiss Path”, the meadow is reached comfortably by boat – and you can arrive in style on one of five steamboats. Start from Rütli to the Destination Bauen. It's a 9km around 3 hours hike, of course taking a boat is also optional.

Zürich

Day 5

The last day is a free traveling day, you can choose either to visit the city of Zurich, stay in Lucerne to relax, or explore another place! I want to keep the options open and we can also decide all together what we want to do with our last day!
