Guided trip
Czechia sits in the heart of Europe with many considering Prague one of european most beautiful cities but, sadly, most people stick to the city and miss out on the rest of the country. The countryside holds tons of beauty in culture and nature whilst also being home to many small (and not so small) breweries that add to the immense diversity and quality of this much-loved drink. Knowing that I plan to travel to the south and attain the Czech spirit, visit some off-the-beaten-track towns & attractions, find myself in situations where English isn't the main spoken language, and all this whilst tasting some of the best beers Czechia has to offer. To that end, I have compiled my own beer trail with some hidden gems mixed into it. 🍺💎🎁 About me? Well, I hold Prague in my heart because it was the first ever trip I made by myself long ago, and Czechia because it is home to two of the most important friends I have. I revisited the country last year during the winter, but wish to discover more. So now I am looking for 3 TripMates who would like to go on a relaxed, fun road trip adventure and escape the crowds. I have never been to most places on this itinerary myself so I am anxious to discover things with the same enthusiastic eyes as you. What IS included in the price: 🏠 Accommodation with shared bedrooms* 🚗 Car & Fuel for 5 days 🙋🏽‍♀️ Me! Although maybe I should be paying you for having me 😅 What is NOT included in the price: 🍽️ Food 🎟️ Public transportation tickets (Prague) and entry fees (e.g. castle admission, brewery tours..) ℹ️ Other important information: I have never rented a car before as I am used to backpacking, so this will be the first time for me. Regarding this, I plan on driving you all the way but wish to have a backup plan (or backup person) with a driver's license who doesn't mind driving, just in case. And don't worry, I have planned for the drinking highlights to happen at the end of the day once we are close to our accommodation and far from driving anything but ourselves. Also, it would be best to include at least some home-cooked meals whenever possible - shared grocery expenditures shall be divided equally with the help of an app. So are you with me? Hope to toast one with you soon 🍻 Any questions you can let me know in the Q&A section! *Accommodation may include bunk beds

Trip Itinerary
1

Prague

Day 1-3
The first day's activities (Sunday) will depend on the time of your arrivals, and we could start taking a short walk around town or a park and maybe have a drink/meal to get to know each other better. The second day (Sunday) will be dedicated to wandering around the city as we see fit (I will have suggestions but it is quite flexible) and having lunch on a nice place. We double back to the hostel and maybe do some shopping for dinner.
2

Pivovarský dvůr Lipan

Day 3-4
For the third day (Monday) we take it slow, pick up the car and head towards the south, and can choose to take a look at Konopiste Castle or maybe visit the oldest bridge of Central Europe in Písek, and then head to the small, cozy and very Czech town of Tabor for a walk in downtown. Just a few km away from here is a small brewery that also serves Czech meals, and yet another brewery that also offers accommodation, where we will be staying for the night. Unfortunately, this last one also has a restaurant that will be closed on Monday, but depending on you, we can have lunch there the day after.
3

Ceske Budejovice

Day 4-6
On Tuesday we keep heading south and check out the fairytale-looking castle of Hluboká nad Vltavou, and after that, it's a small drive to Ceské Budejovice where we will be able to visit the manufacturing home of the world-famous Budweiser Budvar although this is the original, Czech version. Then we can walk around and explore the town before it's time to dive into a microbrewery and enjoy ourselves before heading to bed.
4

Český Krumlov

Day 6
And on Wednesday we will be doing a one-day trip to a dreamy little village, Cesky Krumlov, an amorous town that is rapidly becoming a tourist's favourite. My suggestion: we grab some lunch to take with us to the top of the castle there and have a nice picnic with an amazing view of the whole village. Then we come down and enjoy the narrow streets and river passages untill we decide to leave. On the way back, we hit another microbrewery that also offers accommodation for us so that we are free and safe for the night.
5

Castle Zvíkov

Day 6-7
Thursday is the day we start driving back north but the trip isn't over yet untill we reach a real hidden gem still far from the eyes of the masses, the magical Zvikov Castle, beautifully positioned where the rivers Otava and Vltava meet. And of course, nearby it, there is a... yes, a brewery! where we will stay accommodated for the night. Bring your swimmsuit if you want because the pool is free! 😁
6

Prague

Day 7-8
Finally, we head back to Prague where we deliver the car and hang around town or see the sunset. We will be staying closer to the airport and right next to a Monastery where we can enjoy one last meal with its own produced craft beer. That is of course, if you are not tired of it yet :) Na zdraví! 🍻
