We will take a week in order to explore Edinburgh. We will see the castle, see a famous site of the famous poet, Robert Burns, and have a cup of tea on Queen Elizabeth's boat. Of course, if you are up to it, we can always try the famous Scottish food -haggis. I, myself, have had it, and I absolutely love it! If you are into literature, history, and culture, then this trip is for you!
About me! My name is Jai, and I was in Scotland in 2001. I am excited to see how much it has changed since the last time I was there. I cannot wait to revisit this beautiful country and see old and new sites with you.

We will have a home base in or near the city center in a hostel. We will share rooms unless otherwise specified. Hopefully we will have access to a kitchen so we can cook meals in order to lessen our expenses. But of course we will enjoy nights out and restaurants from time to time. On day one, we will meet at our accommodation. As we wait for everyone to get in, we will explore the area surrounding the hostel. We will then have our first meal together, likely at a restaurant for some delicious Scottish food.

Edinburgh Castle
Day 7
We will take a tour of the Edinburgh Castle. Before and after entering the castle, we will be able to take plenty of photos of the scenery around and the views because the castle was built upon a extinct volcano. Throughout history, this Castle has been under at least 26 sieges because it is always been the figure of Scotland monarchs taught the English monarchs. It was a residence at some point. Now it is open to the public, and people can view the Scottish crown jewels and a war memorial.

Royal Mile
Day 7
Royal mile is the most touristic series of streets in Edinburgh. It gets its name because throughout history it was the route of the monarchs. At the bottom of the mile, there is the Scottish Parliament that has free admission. There, we can learn about Scottish politics. If you want to break from the city, we have the option of going to Physic Garden. All throughout the Royal mile, there are plenty of bars, restaurants, and cafes. We can go there for a drink or a light lunch.

Royal Yacht Britannia
Day 7
We will take public transportation for a day trip to see the former Royal Palace on water of Queen Elizabeth. She sailed with other members of royalty for 44 years, so there is a lot of history to learn about on this yacht. We will also have an afternoon tea on the yacht just like the queen did many times before.
