Guided trip
Hello! and Welcome to Jordan! Let me tell you about me: My name is Muna (she/her), a 39-year-old Fitness Trainer & Travel Consultant all the way from Jordan. I have around 10 years of experience in Travel & Tourism and 9 years of experience in the Fitness field. When I came across a ProTripLeader job posting on LinkedIn, and read the job description, I was like OMG this is my DREAM job! I love to travel more than anything in the world. Travel exposes us to different cultures. Travel gives us our greatest stories to tell and memories to cherish. Travel is a passion! I have been to Sweden, Finland, Austria, Czech Republic, Switzerland, Netherlands, Spain, Turkey, Palestine, Egypt, Syria, Lebanon, the UK, UAE, Singapore, Hong Kong, and more. My goal is to visit the whole 195 countries of the world! About the destination: Have you heard of Petra? This wonder of the world is the most valuable treasure in Jordan, and also its main tourist attraction in the country. Jordan is a land steeped in history. A small country that's big in hospitality, ancient history, and culture, Jordan offers endless opportunities for adventure. A safe haven in a region of conflict, Jordan has delighted visitors for centuries with its World Heritage Sites, friendly towns, and inspiring desert landscapes. About the trip: I am looking for (4) TripMates (girls only this time) to join me on this trip. Our first stop will be Amman city (the capital of Jordan), we will be staying there for 3 nights in a full 3-bedroom apartment in the city center with a kitchen and other facilities. During our stay, we will be exploring this modern city with its downtown and numerous ancient ruins, like Jabal al-Qala’a hill, the historic Citadel, and The Roman Theater is a 6,000-capacity, 2nd-century stone amphitheater offering occasional events. We will also visit Ajloun forest for a hiking day trip. Then we will head to the south of the country, visit Petra & Wadi Rum, and stay for the last night in shared tents with private bathrooms (one double and one triple) at a camp in the desert of Wadi Rum. It would help if you also were willing to share a room; however, a single room can be arranged, but the prices would differ. What is included in the price? - Accommodation including Camping in Wadi Rum. - Local transportation - Food - Hiking trip to Jordan Please note that the entrance fees to Petra are NOT included in the price above as it differs according to nationality. Flight ticket is NOT included as well. Regarding the food, we will be trying most of the traditional dishes, like Falafel, Mansaf, Kunafa, and more. We will explore the city of Amman and its suburbs, and visit Petra and the desert of Wadi Rum. I think we all came to believe that we should not take travel for granted anymore. It's time to cross countries off your bucket lists people. Let's start with my country - Jordan! :) If you are interested, hurry up and write me a message including a short introduction about you and your motivation to join this trip 🥰 if not you can also ask me in the Q&A section for more details about the trip.

Amman

Day 1-4
Day 1 & Day 3: Amman City (Sleep in Amman) We will try to cover most of the city during our stay. Starting from Downtown Amman as it is a must-see. At the bottom of the city’s many hills and overlooked by the magisterial Citadel, it features spectacular Roman ruins, an international-standard museum, and the hubbub of mosques, souqs, and coffeehouses that are central to Jordanian life. Elsewhere, urbane western Amman has leafy residential districts, cafes, bars, modern malls, and art galleries; and in earthy eastern Amman, it’s easy to sense the more traditional and conservative pulse of the capital.

Ajloun

Day 4
DAY 2: Ajloun (Sleep in Amman) Important Note: Destination or trail might change according to weather conditions) Hiking Jordan’s trails is the best way to see beautiful landscapes and explore vast areas of wilderness and nature. Where: Ajloun forest / North of Jordan (The destination of the hike might change according to weather conditions). Grade: Moderate. Distance: 6-7 km. Time: 3 hours, Group size: minimum 4 people. Description: This trail begins at the Reserve's Visitor Center and takes you to the Soap House in the neighboring village of Orjan. On the way, you will hike through thick, healthy woodlands filled with oak, pistachio, and oriental strawberry trees. Take a short detour to view the ruins of a wine press before you pass one of the oldest strawberry trees in the Reserve on your way down into the valley. The trail climbs to 1,100m above sea level at Eagle's View Point and then descends to the Soap House where local women follow the traditional process of making Orjan pure olive oil soap. Then we go back to Amman.

Wadi Musa

Day 4-5
Day 4 & 5: Petra & Wadi Rum (Sleep in Wadi Rum) As one of the New Seven Wonders of the World, The rose city of Petra is absolutely worth visiting. There is so much to see... whether you enjoy archaeology, beautiful landscapes or getting under the skin of a culture, Petra captures the imagination of everyone who visits. Our visit to Petra will take around 3 hours, we will start our visit to Petra with the Siq (The 1.2km alleyway of Al-Siq guides you into the ancient city of Petra. This unique geographic feature is caused by an underground fault that split the rock apart following a shift in tectonic forces). Next we will visit The Treasury (As you leave the cool dark walkway, you will emerge right in front of the Treasury, immediately recognizable from the film ‘Indiana Jones and the Last Crusade’. Known as Al Khazneh, the Treasury is actually a grand tomb for a Nabatean king). After that we will climb the 800 sandstone steps to the beautiful Monastery. It will take around an hour to get there and about 30 minutes to get back if you are quicker downhill. Then we will continue to our camp in Wadi Rum, go on a 2-Hour Jeep tour in the desert, and watch the beauty of the sunset with a cup of Bedouin tea. Then go back to the camp, have our dinner, and enjoy a Bedouin party ;) We will spend the night in shared tents in the camp of Wadi Rum. The next day we go back to Amman.
