Learn the basics of nature, travel and landscape photography, get into astrophotography under the northern lights with my tips and get advice from a professional photographer. We will explore the amazing landscapes of Iceland, its old history, the volcanoes and thermal waters, small villages and its vibrant capital, Reykjavik. All of this meanwhile you learn the basics of the different kinds of travel photography; street photography, landscape photography and travel photos for commercial purposes. Eleven amazing days side by side with an experienced and adventurous outdoors photographer and photojournalist. About the trip 📍 1-2: Reykjavik: a glimpse of color between the whitest white. Arrival. We will visit the most photogenic landmarks of Reykjavík and its most beautiful lookouts. But first of all we will get deeper into Icelandic culture visiting the National museum, For a photographer, doing a previous research will is a must to get closer to the subjects or places we capture. Once you know where you are, we can start shooting! But we won't be taking pictures the whole time, let's have a bath all together in the hot springs, it's the best place to interact and know each other. 3-4-5: Now it's time to hit the road! We will start from the east Three days heading to the southeast of the island to discover the most astonishing corners of Iceland. From the famous plane wreck to the Skaftafell Nature Reserve, the frozen Diamond Beach or the Skogaross Falls, we will discover the main landmarks of this amazing island. We will continue practicing the main tips for travel and nature photography. 6-7: Finally; Northern Lights. We will go up north to continue exploring the main landmarks from the Ring Road and learn how to take the best nature and landscape photos in the most iconic landscapes of Iceland. We also will enjoy a session of astrophotography to experience the northern lights at its fullest and have the best memory of this amazing experience. We are heading east now to continue the ring road and do the whole Island by car. 8-9-10: We will continue our route to see some of the most beautiful landmarks of western lands of the Island. We will spend some time in the villages and interact, if needed, with the locals. Also, we will learn how to portray and interact with people from there. Then, we will get back to Reyjavik to enjoy a celebration all together and check your photos to have some feedback from me. 11: Back home. Last day in Reijavik. Are you ready? Trip Itinerary

Reykjavík
Day 1-2
We will discover the streets of Reykjavik trough the lens of our cameras with a brief introduction to street photography. We will also search for the best spots of the city, lookouts and main landmarks to put on practice the skills portraying the city and its inhabitants. Once we arrive early in the morning, we will check in the hostel and then hit the streets to start our firsts steps on travel photography. We will take a walk trough the city center and its main landmarks. After a good typical Icelandic lunch, we will continue our walk to finish in the national museum to get introduced to the Icelandic culture. After that, we will continue our walk back to the hostel, have some free time to rest and then have some dinner. After that, we grab a beer to get to know each other and then straight to bed. Tomorrow we will hit the road to our next destination!

Vik
Day 2-4
It's time to hit the road! We will get up early to reach out the car rental station and get our transport. We will start our trip heading east stopping on the most astonishing landscapes, volcanoes, lakes and beaches to discover the main highlights from the north of the ring road. Our first stop will be at at Þingvellir national park and Gellfoss waterfalls on our way to Selfoss area, where we will explore the waterfalls and geisers, get into nature photography and try to see our first northern lights during our first night in Skogar. On the second day, we will head to Skogafoss, Reynsfijara and : the most famous waterfall of the island. If we are lucky enough, we will have time to search and take pictures of the puffins -small penguins- who live there. We will head to Vik, where we will spend the night and the next day we will visit the famous abandoned DC Plane on Sólheimasandur to take some pictures and continue with our travel photography tour plus the black sand beaches from the shore like Reynisdrangar. Later on, in the next morning we will departure to our next destination: Höfn.

Höfn
Day 4-5
We will departure early in the morning from Vik heading east to discover the pintoresque village of Höfn and its fiords. On our way to get there, we will stop in Svartifoss waterfall to see its curious hexagonal rock formations. Perfect place to put in practice your photographic skills. Also we will check the Jokulsarlon beach, where big ice cubes lie on the sand providing an amazing landscape. After that we will reach Höfn and we will spend the night there and the next morning. Then we expect a long way until our next destination but we will stop on our way to discover more amazing places.

Seydisfjordur
Day 5-6
We will reach eastern Iceland to discover the small town of Seyðisfjörður. We will continue to put in practice what we learned in Reykjavik on our first street and travel photography introduction. We will spend the afternoon and the night there to observe the northern lights, get into astro photography and also discover amazing places such as the Skálanes fiord.

Húsavík
Day 6-8
Our next destination; Hussavik. Where the whales say hi! It's an optional activity but this is the best place to see whales in the artic ocean. After a 3:45 ride by car, where we can stop on our way in places such as the Myvatn Geothermal area, the astonishing Hverir landscape and the amazing surrounding lava fields where we will continue practicing with our cameras. Later on, when we get to Hussavik, we will take a rest on the hotel to discover the village in the next morning and try to reach some whales on a photographic boat tour. If we have spare time, we will also check the suroundings and try to see the great Godafoss waterfalls under the northern lights. Then we will go to take a rest because in the next morning we will do the longest trip until out next destination: the vesturland peninsula.

Western Region
Day 8-10
Heading to Reykjavik, we will spend the last days neat Borgarfjörður area and Vesturland peninsula, where we will explore the Hraunfossar and Barnafoss waterfalls, geisers and glaciers, get into nature photography and try to see some more northern lights to practice sharpen the skills we just leanred on the previous days. We will also take a bath in the biggest hotsprings in Europe: the Deildartunguhver and discover the frozen beaches of western Iceland. We will explore the peninsula spending two amazing days in this area.

Reykjavík
Day 10-11
On the 9th day, by midday, we will head to Reyjavik to spend our last night in this amazing Island. If we get there early, we will go to see the youngest part of the island; the famous volcano of Fagradalsfjall which its latest eruption was on august 2022 providing and amazing landscape. Unfortunately, the eruption lasted for one month but the result is astonishing. Like a gate to hell! The perfect last picture of our amazing trip. Then we will head to Iceland to celebrate the last night of our trip with a great dinner and maybe, a good party too!
