Day 1-4
1 DAY If your arrival times are very different from each other, we will meet in front of the hotel at 16:30 to get to know each other, and we will reach the point where our first tour will start at 17:30. "Haunted dungeon and graveyard that will last 1h 30. After the tour, we will all go out to dinner together.

Day 4
2 DAY Breakfast at the hotel and then together we will reach the point where at 10:00 the walking tour between history and stories about the old city (duration 2h). We will meet our guide on Edinburgh's iconic and historic Royal Mile, near the statue of Adam Smith (one of Scotland's greatest thinkers). From there, our tour will be conducted through the beautiful, winding streets that make up the "Old Town". Covering everything from history to religion and folklore, this walking tour is an original tour of Edinburgh's medieval Old Town. Our talented and entertaining guide will take us through the streets and alleyways of 'Auld Reekie', while enthralling you with its history, folklore and tales. Topics will be Edinburgh's 'Mercat Cross', St. Giles' Cathedral, Scottish Enlightenment, Greyfriars Bobby, Grassmarket, Harry Potter inspirations and many more. We will end our tour in the heart of the city, surrounded by numerous bars, restaurants and cafés where we will stop to have lunch, relax and get to know each other better. At 2.30pm the Edinburgh Castle walking tour will depart! We will meet our guide and walk towards Edinburgh Castle, which dominates the city skyline from its seat on the extinct volcano of Castle Rock. We will discover the home of Mary Queen of Scots. We will admire the 16th century Great Hall where parties and celebrations took place. We will discover the bloody history of the kings and queens who lived in this castle. Walking along the castle promenade, we will hear about the origins and sieges of the castle. From within the castle, we will head towards the three museums and the two prisons. There we will see the National War Memorial of Scotland and a canine cemetery. We will be fascinated by the oldest building in the city at the Chapel of Santa Margherita. After the tour, we will have time to explore all the buildings inside the castle. After the tour, we will go to dinner together.

Day 4
3 DAY Breakfast at the hotel, and together we will reach the "Palace of Holyroodhouse" where we will enter at 10:00 (the visit will last 1h30). Wander the opulent state rooms and lavish gardens of the Palace of Holyroodhouse, His Majesty The King's official Scottish residence, located at the end of Edinburgh’s Royal Mile. Once inside the baroque palace, learn about its close associations with Scotland's history via a complimentary multimedia guide (available in 9 languages). Visit the State Apartments to see the changing tastes of successive monarchs. Marvel at fine plasterwork ceilings and Brussels tapestries, along with paintings and other artworks in rooms still used by the King and Royal Family for official ceremonies. Go to the Throne Room to see where lunch was served to the Knights and Ladies of the Order of the Thistle when a new knight was installed. Discover where the King holds his private audiences in the Morning Drawing Room. Continue to the Great Gallery, where Scottish residents named in the New Year’s Honours List or Kings Birthday Honours List receive their award at an Investiture ceremony. Admire Jacob de Wet's portraits of real and legendary kings of Scotland in the Great Gallery, the largest room in the palace. Learn about dramatic events from Scotland’s history in Mary Queen of Scots' historic chambers, where she witnessed the brutal murder of her secretary, Rizzio, by her jealous husband, Lord Darnley. At the end of our multimedia tour, we will enjoy a refreshing drink or light lunch (own expense) at the Café at the Palace. 4 DAY Shopping in the streets of the centre.
