Discover Greece - a different side: Hidden Athens & Forgotten Capital

Hosted by

Isaac

Guided trip
To the rest of the world, Greece is a country rich in ancient history and stunning beauty. But there's a lot that this simple narrative leaves out. For instance, how did the 'cradle of democracy' become Europe's 'basket case'? The question may seem crude but it captures a great deal of thought in the aftermath of the financial crisis of 2008. We'll dig into dark secrets and forgotten places during our four-days trip. You'll discover an Athens with a completely distinct cultural and social character, although you'll also have free time to explore Athens' ancient origins. You'll also get the chance to embark on a day trip to Nafplio, the first capital of the modern Greek state, a picturesque seaside town that was historically the setting for murder, exile, imprisonment, and riots. Beauty, they say, is in the eyes of the beholder. Do you want to see another side of Greece? You are in the right place! This trip is just for true adventurers who want to see the uncensored side of Greece. 🙌 About me: Hi, I am Isaac, a 32-year-old Political Scientist, and Experiences host. Athens

Day 2-4

After breakfast this morning, you will discover a contrasting Athens, with another topography. Bustling places where tourists refugees and immigrants, street vendors, and passers-by bump into each other, passing through it in a rush. This mix of cultural diversity mirror social “disorder”. Ungentr...
