I have never been to Athens before and would love to visit this ancient city. Athens, the capital city of Greece, is a vibrant metropolis steeped in history, culture, and mythology. As one of the world's oldest cities, Athens is often referred to as the cradle of Western civilization, boasting a rich heritage that spans thousands of years. Athens is renowned for its ancient landmarks, with the Acropolis being the most iconic. Perched high above the city, the Acropolis is home to several majestic structures, including the Parthenon, Erechtheion, Temple of Athena Nike, and the Propylaea. These architectural marvels are symbols of ancient Greek civilization and are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The Ancient Agora, once the heart of Athenian life, is another must-visit historical site. Here, you can explore ruins such as the Temple of Hephaestus and the Stoa of Attalos, gaining insight into ancient Greek democracy, philosophy, and culture. Despite its ancient roots, Athens is a dynamic and cosmopolitan city with a thriving cultural scene. From contemporary art galleries and museums to bustling neighborhoods filled with trendy cafés, restaurants, and bars, Athens seamlessly blends its rich history with modern-day life. Neighborhoods like Plaka, Monastiraki, and Kolonaki offer a unique blend of old-world charm and vibrant energy. Narrow cobblestone streets, neoclassical buildings, and colorful bougainvillea create a picturesque backdrop for exploration. Culinary Delights: Greek cuisine is celebrated worldwide for its fresh, flavorful ingredients and Mediterranean influences, and Athens is a culinary paradise. Visitors can indulge in traditional dishes such as moussaka, souvlaki, Greek salad, and spanakopita, often accompanied by local wines, ouzo, or traditional Greek coffee. The bustling central markets of Athens, including the Varvakios Agora and the Athens Central Market, offer an authentic glimpse into daily life and are perfect for sampling local produce, spices, cheeses, and pastries. Mythology and Legends: Athens is deeply intertwined with Greek mythology, with legendary tales of gods and heroes permeating its streets and landmarks. The city's mythology is most prominently reflected in its ancient ruins and temples, which were dedicated to deities like Athena, Zeus, and Poseidon. We will explore sites such as the Temple of Olympian Zeus, where the colossal statue of Zeus once stood, and Cape Sounion, home to the Temple of Poseidon, which offers stunning sunset views over the Aegean Sea. Natural Beauty and Surroundings: While Athens is primarily known for its historical and cultural attractions, it also boasts natural beauty and scenic surroundings. The Athenian Riviera stretches along the coastline, offering picturesque beaches, crystal-clear waters, and seaside promenades ideal for leisurely strolls or water sports. Just a short drive from Athens, we can escape to the idyllic countryside of Attica, where they can explore charming villages, hike through rugged landscapes, and discover hidden gems such as vineyards, olive groves, and ancient ruins. Overall, Athens captivates visitors with its timeless allure, blending ancient wonders with modern charm and offering a captivating journey through history, culture, and mythology.

About me: I am Inti! I like to describe myself as a serendipity seeker and a curious, passionate person inspired by deep conversations, nature, art, and travel. I'm also very light-hearted and enjoy dancing, going out for drinks and talking about frivolous things. I would like to have a group of respectful, independent people who are in a happy place :) on this trip we'll be relying on public transport and taxis as I do not want to drive around Athens.

Accommodation: I will rent a house and you will share the room with a same-sex person. Max 2 per room. You can have a private room for a little extra. It'll be a modern renovated house I would like everyone to be tidy and clean up after themselves since we will be sharing. Please be respectful of other people.
