Trip Itinerary
1

Helsinki

Day 1-3
DAY 1: Arrive into Helsinki ready to start our first activity this afternoon. Check in time will usually be from 14:00 so we will leave our bags with reception & head out to hop on the ferry around 1:30pm to Suomenlinna fortress which is easily reached by a short 15-minute ferry ride. When we come back we can then check in & later in the evening get to know each other over traditional Finnish & other international food & drinks at the Old Market Hall! DAY 2: Explore Helsinki: Enjoy watching local life with a cup of hot cocoa, visit the Helsinki cathedral, Temppeliaukio church, Senate square & the numerous parks & gardens.
2

Turku

Day 3-4
DAY 3: Take the train over to Turku to enjoy Finlands original capital filled with culture & history dating back 800 years. With the Aura River meeting the archipelago We will pop around the sights during our time here: Turku castle & the cathedral.
3

Tampere

Day 4-6
DAY 4: Catch another train to the less touristy city of Tampere - youโ€™ll feel far more off the beaten track here and itโ€™s an awesome city due to its quirky character. Once reaching Tampere head to Rajaportti Sauna to experience a sauna heated by wood in the most traditional method DAY 5: Today will be very chill, head to the Moomin museum & wonder around the largest market in all the Nordics before catching an overnight train/bus to Lapland region!
4

Rovaniemi

Day 6-9
DAY 6: Arrive into Rovaniemi & head straight to the accommodation to leave our bags (itโ€™ll be too early to check in) before grabbing a breakfast to wake us up from the long ride. The city of Rovaniemi is quite small in comparison to most other Nordic and Finnish cities, but it feels like an entirely different world in itself. This afternoon we can explore the town, then in the evening head out to search for the incredible Northern Lights! DAY 7: The day you dream of as a child (& adult!). The chance to actually meet Santa Claus in person - today we will visit the Santa Claus village; spend as much time as need there - touring his office, visiting all the huts, the post room & the factory with his elves and experience a 1 hour (3KM) reindeer ride! DAY 8: Today spend the morning snowmobiling through the forests! In the afternoon jump on the overnight train back to Helsinki.
5

Helsinki

Day 9
DAY 9: Arrive back into Helsinki around 7:30 AM - I would suggest booking a flight home in the afternoon to ensure we have plenty of time for any delays. Here will be where we say goodbye to the group & if your flights not until later we can head for a final lunch together!
