I have a campsite booked in the Many Glacier campground of Glacier National Park. I have a 12 passenger van and tow a cargo trailer turned camper. I sleep in a rooftop tent above the van and the trailer sleeps 5 (1 queen bed, 3 single bunk beds) and would be used by the guests. I have 2 separate small backpacker tents that fit 2 comfortably and sleeping pads and sleeping bags for that as well. Depending on the group dynamic, if folks don’t know each other or need to have their own sleeping space, we can try to accommodate by using the tents along with the trailer. There is an outdoor kitchen in the trailer that we would share and use to cook meals together. This trip can accommodate up to 7 guests as that’s the max that is allowed on the site. However review the sleeping arrangements as that may limit the amount of people. I can pick guests up at Glacier international airport in Kalispell Montana on Sunday and drop off on Saturday provided everyone can coordinate times and be there for one pick up and drop off time. We would go from the airport to the campground 2 hours away. We would possibly make a stop along the way for a short waterfall hike. We would camp for the whole week sharing the cooking and clean up duties. All food is provided, if any allergy or dietary restrictions are needed we will have to work out the details in advance. I have fishing gear and inflatable paddle boards and kayaks that guest can use as they please. I have day hiking packs, trekking poles, and water bladders to use as well. All gear is “use at your own risk” and you are responsible for yourself when using it. I know when flying it’s hard to bring this kind of thing but with this trip all camping supplies and gear will be provided. You just need to pack clothes and whatever specific items you require for travel. There are tons of hikes, lakes and creeks to explore right out of the campground. We can follow the itinerary below and I can lead the way or you can do things on your own and use camp as a home base.
I am an avid camper and visitor to the national park system in the United States. My wife, kids, and I have traveled to many of them over the years. We often take long multi week roads trips across the country during our kids summer vacations. However my kids are getting older and don’t want to be gone as long or be away from their friends. They also have busy sports schedules. It’s a lot to get my camper and gear out West and I like to make the best of it staying as long as I can to make the drive and expense worth it. My hope is, that as I “prolong” my trip, another family, or group of friends, can benefit from sharing a campsite and gear and can enjoy this beautiful place as much as I have with my family. I have been to Glacier many times and have hiked many of its trails. I have compiled what I believe to be the “must sees” of Glacier in the attached itinerary. Depending on who comes we can tailor the trip to accommodate people of all ages. I am flexible and a wealth of knowledge on this particular park so we can make sure you have the best trip possible.
The campground has flush toilets and running water for sinks. Water spigots are located around camp and dump stations for waste water for dishes are located at the restrooms. Showers are available within walking distance at the Inn located by the campground. They are usually $5 for an 8 min shower. But they may have gone up since last year. We will find out when we get there. The Trailer has windows and an RV style door that locks. (See pics in gallery.) The trailer is quite comfortable with 1 queen bed and 3 single bunk beds in the front. The top and bottom bunk require some climbing and/or crawling to get in and out of. The Queen bed is a little high up as well. So those folks need to be limber enough to get in and out. The spare tent(s) have sleeping bags and thick sleeping pads. I have an air mattress for that as well if that’s preferred. There is a small table inside the trailer that flips down to hang out at if weather is bad, but it only sits a tight 5. The outside has a large canopy that covers the RV door and the side door where the outdoor kitchen opens too. The rear doors open like barn doors and access the gear area from outside located under the queen bed. Inside the trailer are two small propane refrigerators, storage for dry food and all the other gear mentioned. We have camping chairs and hammocks available as well.

Trip Itinerary
1
Kalispell City Airport
Day 1
Try to arrive at airport by early afternoon and coordinate arrival times with everyone in the party so we can do one pick up for the day. If we have to we can hay out in town with early arrivals and then head back to airport to get everybody a leave at one time. The destination is a 2 hour ride from the airport so we all need to leave together.

Many Glacier Campground
Day 1-7
Day 1: (Sunday) pick up at airport in early afternoon. It’s a 2 hour drive to Many Glacier campground via hwy 2 around the south end of the park. Stop for a short flat 1/2 mile hike in the Two Medicine area of the park to stretch legs and view Running Eagle falls. Arrive at Many Glacier campground and get settled into camp. Go over trailer so everyone is familiar with everything and go over campground rules that are set out by Glacier National Park. (Campground rules must be strictly followed as there are hefty fines for not following them) After getting settled we will head over to the nearby Many Glacier hotel and enjoy a nice meal in there dining room and hang out on the veranda after dinner enjoying the evening with spectacular views that surround the hotel. There is a bar at the hotel to grab a drink if you choose (drinks not included) Day 2: (Monday) enjoy a leisurely breakfast and then do some paddle boarding/kayaking on the lake or creek nearby. Eat lunch, lounge and explore by the campground for the afternoon. In the late afternoon head out for a 3.5 mile (Approx. 300 ft. Elevation) easy flat hike to Red Rock Falls in hopes of spotting moose along the way at the lakes we pass. Then dinner and hang out at campsite for the evening, possibly have a fire if it is allowed (always depends on how dry and windy it is) Day 3: (Tuesday) Get up early and have a quick breakfast and pack lunch’s. Head out by 7:00am and hike to Grinnell Glacier. It’s roughly 11 miles (approx. 1700 ft elevation) round trip and has breathtaking views along the way. It’s one of the premier hikes in Glacier. We will eat packed lunch on the trail. Arrive back at camp mid afternoon most likely. Rest up and make dinner at camp and enjoy another evening at camp or we can head to hotel to enjoy the sunset. Day 4: (Wednesday) have breakfast at camp and pack a large lunch with extra snacks as we will be gone most of the day. Drive to Going to the Sun road. We will try to stop and hike at St Mary/Virginia falls (6.5 mile round trip, Approx. 450 ft elevation) and Logan’s Pass to Hidden Lake view point (3 mile round trip, approx. 400 ft elevation). Hikes are subject to available parking. May have to hikes in a random order or wait for a spot. Arrive back at camp for a late dinner made at camp. Day 5: (Thursday) have breakfast at camp and pack a lunch. After breakfast head out from campsite to trailhead for Iceberg Lake. It’s a 9 mile round trip hike (approx 1300 ft elevation) to the most beautiful lake you will ever see! Eat lunch up by the lake. Arrive back at camp mid afternoon and relax and make dinner at camp. Day 6: (Friday) have a leisurely breakfast and pack a lunch. After breakfast , drive the entirety of Going to the Sun Road. See Lake Macdonald and the lodge. Hike to Avalanche Lake (5 miles round trip, approx. 600 ft elevation) and have lunch there. Head back to camp and make dinner for the last night. Enjoy the camp with a fire or head to the hotel and enjoy the sunset there. Day 7: (Saturday) have breakfast at camp, pack up and head to the airport. Alternates: two of the days (Grinnell and iceberg) have longer harder hikes. We can do shorter alternate hikes or no hikes if you prefer. Hiking to Grinnell lake is a much shorter, flatter hike, and there is a boat you can take to cut down in that trek even more. There are lots of other options that are equally as enjoyable. The whole place is amazing and beautiful, you won’t be disappointed. If you love hiking this is the place to do it. If you love to just sit and look at beautiful scenery, this is also the place to do that!

Kalispell City Airport
Day 7
On the last day (Saturday July 25th) I will shuttle everyone back to the airport so you can catch your planes home or your next destination. Again we can try to get everyone departing around the same time or we can do things in town to kill time.
