Winter is over and the summer is on the way. It's June and the weather is warm, but not too hot; people are eager for connections and tired of white noise; Italy offers you so many places to visit but this is the trip you didn't know you actually needed: a 5 day walk/trekking between two of the MUST SEE destinations in Italy through the awesome Via Degli Dei. This is a trip that will require good body conditioning and trip-mates who love moving around 😎 Starting on the electrical Bologna, we'll be going through historical villages, amazing landscapes, archeological sites and beautiful nature before finally arriving in the birthplace of the Renaissance (and one of the most beautiful cities in the world), Florence. During the 5 day-trekking journey, the group will eat and stay in selected Bed & Breakfasts (with awesome breakfast, as always). In Florence we will stay for 3 days and relax after the walk, eating in great restaurants, visiting the biggest museum in Italy (the Uffizi Gallery) and also Michelangelo's David, going to a wine degustation and much more, before going back to our normal lives and to the early summer. But be aware that nothing we'll be the same, this experience will have enriched you for good :)
About me! I'm Nate Buzelli, italian-brazilian who lives in Europe and loves a good trip. I'm 28 years old, I'm a young filmmaker and photographer and I love to go on vacations that provide great memories, that means I'm crazy for awesome experiences and not just tourism/site visitation. I love to meet new people, new cultures, photograph and register every new place I go to and specially go through spontaneous and surprising situations that you can't experience when you're doing basic tourism. I'm a specialist in big/cosmopolitan cities - having grown-up in one myself (the unstoppable São Paulo, in Brazil) and have traveled a lot by myself during my life - in Europe, in Brazil and in the US - which allowed me to learn a lot about me and also about the places I've gone to. I love trips that offer a balance between nature and culture, that's why I usually don't travel just to one place during a vacation. I'm looking for trip mates that are communicative, adventurous, curious and eager to share. If you love art and gastronomy, well, that's an awesome plus ;)
Details about the accommodation: During the 5-day walk, we'll be staying and eating in selected Bed & Breakfasts; if we are 6, that'd mean two people per bedroom (unless they have 3 or more beds in a room). The objective is to leave people as comfortable as possible, so during the first night in Bologna - as we get to know each other - we'll decide who'll be sharing the bedroom with whom in democratic fashion. Once we get to Florence, we'll stay in a charming and cozy condo from Airbnb, big enough for 6 people and close to the city's center to relax and have fun. If you have questions about the trip keep me posted in the Q&A section below!

Trip Itinerary
1
Bologna
Day 1-3
Our trip starts in the beautiful and historical city of Bologna. After the arrival of the group, we'll be meeting in the Airbnb location of the first two nights. We're going to have a "get to know your colleague" game and we'll be going out to dinner. The second day, we'll have a tour of the center, visiting places like the Two Towers, the Piazza Maggiore, and also prove the amazing gastronomy of the town (get ready for some ragù). After that, we'll be getting ready for the trekking: going over the plan, buying groceries for the trip, checking every item on the list. We'll leave the beautiful Bologna on Monday morning.
2
Brento
Day 3-4
After leaving Bologna, we'll be passing by 3 different "comunes" (municipalities) - Casalecchio di Reno, Sasso Marconi, Badolo - before arriving in the village of Brento, where we'll have dinner and sleep in a charming Bed & Breakfast. This "borgo" (old village) belongs to the commune of Monzuno and has a beautiful landscape of mountains, so get ready for those views!
3
Madonna dei Fornelli
Day 4-5
After a beautiful day going across the comune of Monzuno, where we'll have lunch, we'll arrive at Madonna dei Fornelli, which is a hamlet of the municipality of San Benedetto in Val di Sambro, located at 798 meters above sea level on the watershed between the Savena and Sambro rivers, in the Bolognese Apennines.
4
Monte di Fo'
Day 5-6
After leaving Madonna dei Fornelli, we'll be also leaving the region of Emilia-Romagna and entering the famous and most beautiful Tuscany. We'll be crossing Passo della Futa, which is a pass, part of the comune of Firenzuola and was part of the Gothic Line during the second world-war. Considering the elevation of this part of the trip (903 meter above sea level), we'll be staying in the region, but at Monte di Fo'.
5
San Piero a Sieve
Day 6-7
Already in the Metropolitan City of Florence, we'll be leaving Passo della Futa in the morning, passing through the village of Sant'Agata di Mugello (where there's the famous Pieve di Sant'Agata, a Catholic Church built between the 4th and 5th century) before arriving at San Piero a Sieve, a frazione of the comune of Scarperia e San Piero, about 20 kilometres north of Florence.
6
Florence
Day 7-10
After 6 days of walking, climbing and bonding in 4 different Bed & Breakfast, we'll finally arrive at our destination, the birthplace of the Renaissance, the birthplace of Michelangelo, Botticelli and other artists: Florence. Once we arrive, we'll be checking-in our apartment for the next 3 nights and 3 days and celebrating the end of the trekking together, either cooking at our place or going-out: whatever is more relaxing for the group, who'll be tired and accomplished. In the next three days we'll be visiting the biggest museum in Italy, the Uffizzi Gallery, visiting the famous Accademia's Gallery, having lunch and dinner in the city's center, trying the best appetizers in the town, visiting historical landmarks and much more. An awesome way to finish a great trip, an unforgettable experience.
