Hey there adventurous hikers and backpackers! Are you ready to discover some epic routes around the world? Well, I've got some great news for you! I have completed 5 of the world's 15 best classic hikes according to National Geographic, and now I want to take you with me on two breathtaking hikes in the UAE. These hikes are definitely not for the faint of heart, but if you're up for a challenge, then come join me! We'll be driving a lot and camping in 4 different emirates (Dubai, Ras Al Khaimah, Umm Al Quwain and Abu Dhabi) and experiencing the beauty of the UAE. Here are the two hikes we'll be embarking on: The Stairways to Heaven 🏞️🤩 - This is the most famous and toughest hiking route in the UAE. With beautiful steep slopes, handmade stairs, and stunning views, this hike is not for the faint of heart. But don't worry, the reward at the top is well worth it! You'll be recognized as a true UAE adventurer and walk away with a sense of accomplishment and beautiful photos. The Liwa Sunrise Hike 🌅🐪 - Hiking in the desert can be difficult, but hiking in Liwa is even more challenging. The locals call Liwa the Queen of the Desert due to its softer sand, higher dunes, and remote location. But we'll make it there and experience it for ourselves! In between the hikes, we'll visit some of Dubai's famous attractions like the Ain Dubai, Burj Al Arab, The Palm, Ski Dubai, Dubai Mall, and more. We'll also witness the beautiful light show at the Burj Dubai and the dancing fountain nearby. And for those adrenaline junkies out there, there's an opportunity to fly on the world's longest zipline (not included in the price). I'm looking for like-minded travelers who love hiking and trying new things. Day 1-2

DAY 1. ARRIVAL DAY Hi there adventurous hikers! Let's start our journey in the stunning "Miami of Dubai". If you can, try to arrive early so you can make the most of your day. I've got you covered with walking maps and easy-to-follow instructions so we can all stay together. Just drop your bags at the front desk and let's get going! Let's start your adjustment to the UAE with a fun barefoot walk along the beautiful JBR Beach! The 3.5 km route is sea level and flat, making it an easy and enjoyable experience. After completing the first route, continue your adventure by taking a stroll along the Marina Walk and admiring the views of Marina life, yachts, boats, and more. This 7.5 km route is also sea level and flat, and should take you about 2-3 hours to complete both walks. And don't worry about getting hungry or thirsty - the area is filled with plenty of delicious food options to suit every budget and taste. Later in the evening, we'll meet up at the reception at 6:30 PM for a brief chat. Then, we'll take the Golden Metro tour to Ski Dubai and Dubai Mall to experience the stunning light show at Burj Khalifa and the mesmerizing dancing fountain on the nearby lake. 📸 AIN DUBAI, the world's largest observation wheel, offers panoramic views of the city and the sea. A must-visit for those looking for a unique and exciting experience in Dubai. 📸 DUBAI MARINA, a man-made marina that offers a picturesque waterfront promenade, luxurious yachts, and an array of dining and entertainment options. Day 2

DAY 2. Dubai ➡️ RAK + Grocery shopping Let's hit the road today for a 300 km adventure through 5 different emirates in the UAE! We'll be passing by some of the top attractions like The Palm and Burj Al Arab, so make sure to snap some photos along the way. And don't worry about getting hungry on the 2-3 hour drive through the desert, there's a grocery store on the list too! We're headed towards the highest point in the UAE, Mount Jebel Jais. Before setting up camp and enjoying the breathtaking sunset, you can opt to try the longest zipline in the world, the Jebel Jais Zipline, and get a stunning bird's eye view of our hiking destination. Tonight, we'll be sleeping under the stars on the mountain. After a quick briefing on the Stairway to Heaven hike, we'll unwind by the fire and enjoy a delicious meal cooked by us. Get ready for an unforgettable night in the mountains!

Jebel Jais

Day 2-3

DAY 3. HIKING #1 Let's get started bright and early at 5 AM! We'll be tackling the "Stairways to Heaven" trail, which is definitely a workout. With no water sources along the way, make sure you bring 5 liters of water on your back to stay hydrated. No exits, no cutouts. Full on, the reward is the photo at the top and the glory of the climb! This hike will take around 6 to 7 hours and is for intermediate to advanced level hikers. You'll experience an ascent of 500 m, with some loose rocks and unformed trails. But don't worry, the stunning views of Wadi Galilah and Jabal Jais will make it all worth it! I'll share my GPS data with you, including elevation, distance, and timeline, so you'll know exactly what to expect. And as a reward for successfully completing the trail, you'll receive a Certificate of Achievement!

Umm Al Quwain- Beach

Day 3-4

NIGHT 3. We are going to celebrate our first hike at the mysterious Umm Al Qaine beach! 🏕️ While we won't get to see the famous abandoned aircraft that used to call this place home for more then 20 years, I've got some intriguing stories to share about this plane, arms dealers, a daring pilot who made an unexpected landing, and what was in the secret cargo. And who knows, we might even come across another ship washed ashore. So grab your tent and let's make some memories at this one-of-a-kind beach!

Bateen Liwa

Day 4-5

DAY 4. Umm Al Quain ➡️ Liwa. HIKING #2 Get ready for an exciting adventure as we embark on a 400 km, roughly 5-hour long trip to our next hiking destination in the Liwa Desert. Along the way, we'll make a pitstop at a store to stock up on essentials. Our second hike will be a two-part experience - a sunset hike followed by a sunrise hike. After checking into our Bedouing Campground at 3 PM, we'll embark on a short night hike to catch the stunning sunset views in the desert. Don't worry, we'll be using head torches but you'll still have plenty of opportunities to admire the night sky. DAY 5. Rise and shine! Today is all about the sunrise hike. We'll be hiking up to 10 km in the dunes for about 4 hours, stopping for a snack and to catch the sunrise after the first 2 km. This hike will start at 4:30 AM and is rated as Moderate, but we want to finish it before it jumps to an Advanced level. The Liwa desert is full of soft sands and towering dunes that will take your breath away. Hiking here is a true adventure and those who complete it will receive a Certificate of Achievement to show for it. You deserve it! 📸 LIWA DESERT, an awe-inspiring natural wonder that offers a chance to escape the city and immerse in the beauty of the Arabian desert. A must-visit for nature lovers and adventure seekers in the UAE.

Abu Dhabi

Day 5

DAY 5. Liwa ➡️ Abu Dhabi + CITY TOUR ➡️ Dubai 10 AM. After a great hike and refreshing shower, we'll fuel up with a delicious breakfast before setting off on our journey back to the bustling cities of Dubai and Abu Dhabi. Along the way, we'll make sure to stop by two must-see attractions: Ferrari World and the stunning Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque. We'll take a tour inside the mosque and snap some memories, before continuing on to Dubai. Tonight, let's celebrate our amazing trip with a final dinner together. Afterwards, feel free to let loose and explore the vibrant nightlife of Dubai in your own way. Enjoy! 📸 FERRARI WORLD ABU DHABI, a thrilling theme park inspired by the world of Ferrari. The home of The Fastest Rollercoaster in the World. A must-visit destination for speed enthusiasts and car enthusiasts in Abu Dhabi. 📸 THE SHEIKH ZAYED GRAND MOSQUE is an architectural masterpiece, featuring 82 domes, 1,000 columns and the world's largest hand-knotted carpet. A must-see for anyone visiting Abu Dhabi.

Day 5-6

DAY 6. DEPARTURE DAY. It's time to say goodbye to our adventure-filled trip! But don't worry, you can still soak up the sun on the beach or take a leisurely walk before it's time to head to the airport. And don't forget, you can leave your bags in the designated storage area for safekeeping until it's time to go. You should feel proud! In just a few short days, you've accomplished two of the most well-known hikes in the UAE, explored the country's top sights, and traveled through 6 of its 7 emirates. What an amazing trip it has been! Congrats again!
