Hello! My name is Ömer! I am a 20-year-old business administration student who is currently studying in Turkey, Bilkent. I am a second-year student, and my passion is traveling, like most of you. Why you should visit Ankara? Well, Ankara is the capital city of Türkiye, although everyone thinks Istanbul as the capital :). Ankara is located in the middle of the Anatolia region with its hidden beauties. It has tons of gems about how Turkey was founded by the Father of the Turks, Mustafa Kemal, How Turks lived back in the day, wonderful natural sights within 1 hour of the city, and huge national parks. Besides all of that, it gives a unique experience of Turkish-style nightlife in the city center. On this trip, we will cycle along a lake, visit Anıtkabir (the tomb of Atatürk), Atakule (more like the CN tower of Turkey), and more landscapes in Ankara! I am looking forward to seeing all of you on such a trip. Ankara
Day 1-6
As for transportation, we will use my personal car (Audi A3 2014) and I will be driving all the time. I will pick my Tripmates from the airport and drop them at the hotel for the first day. My expectation for arriving mates is around the afternoon local time because hotels do not accept guests until 13 pm. in the night of the first day, we will have a dinner to get to know each other in one of the best kebab places in the city, and after that, if Tripmates does not feel tired, we will go to a bar which is really popular among the residents of Ankara to get a couple of drinks. So this is how day one will end like that.

Day 6
On day 2, we will start with a Turkish-style breakfast in one of the best cafes in the city, and start our tour. Our first stop will be Anıtkabir, which is the tomb of the Father of Turks, Atatürk. I will tell you a lot about how he managed to found this country after ww1 defeat. it will take approximately 2 to 3 hours to visit Anıtkabir because its huge. After Anıtkabir, we will be heading to the city center and have a walk there to get to know how the people of Ankara live. We will have ASPAVA in the city center, which is a special type of Döner only served in Ankara. After there, we will be heading to Göksu Park which is one of the national parks in the city. On the 3rd day, we will start with the Castle of Ankara, Hamamönü, the Historic Roman Bath, and more. We will have Turkish breakfast at the Castle of Ankara, and we will see the oldest city center which is Hamamönü. After there, we will go to an Anatolian museum and an ethnography museum to see the history of Ankara. We will have a launch at one of the best kebab places in the city, and after that, we will go and drink some National Turkish drink, Rakı, while eating and having fun with Turkish style.

Day 6
On the 4- 5th day, since Turkey is one of the cheapest countries in the world, we will be going to some different shopping places. Ankara is famous for its shopping malls, we will be going to a shopping mall called Armada, have breakfast in its streets of restaurants, and then start shopping if you want to. after our breakfast and shopping, we will be heading to the old bazaar of the city to buy some souvenirs. After there, we will be heading to Lake of Eymir, to have a cycling tour across the biggest natural lake in Ankara. In the evening we will go to the çayyolu, which is the new city center to eat but this time, our only option is not Kebabs. On the 6th day, I will take you from the hotel and I will drop you to the airport. I will have gifts for my beloved TripMates :). if we have time I will show you the presidential palace and the facilities within the palace. We can try Turkish street foods in a place called Atatürk Orman Çiftliği. This is a rough plan of what we are going to do on the trip. But we do not need to sit tight on this schedule. we can change and discuss things alongside the trip and before the trip. hope to see you all!
