An Incredible 12 Days trip in Tanzania Safari and Mount Kilimanjaro

Hey People, my name is Nina and I love to Travel a lot. I always try to make the best out of a small budget and so I thought I share my planned trips. Let me share you the Itinerary so far: Day 1. The day of arrival You will arrive in Tanzania, more specifically Kilimanjaro International Airport, where you will get picked up and drive to Arusha, which is a city about an hour away on the way to the national parks. Depending on the time you arrive, you will be able to relax and rest before your safari begins. In the evening we will have a welcome dinner. *Hotel: White House of Tanzania (twin or dorm room) **Dinner included Day 2. The day of many elephants The first day of safari goes to Tarangire National Park, which is the one located closest to Arusha and is well known for its large elephant herds and good for game drive. You will do a full day of safari including eating lunch before driving to Karatu, a town closer to Ngorongoro and Serengeti for a good night’s sleep. *Hotel: Karatu Tented Lodge (twin room) **Breakfast, lunch and dinner included Day 3. The day of the crater You will leave the lodge after breakfast and start driving towards the Ngorongoro Crater. You will first drive into the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, where you will stop at the viewpoint and have a look over the Ngorongoro Crater, which you are about to drive down into. So, here you will disembark into the crater, where you will spend some time driving around looking for animals in this fascinating place. After that you will continue driving to Serengeti National Park and onwards to your tented lodge. *Hotel: Tukaone Camp (twin room) **Breakfast, lunch and dinner included Day 4. The day of the endless plains Rise and shine to another day of spotting wild animals. You will spend the full day driving around Serengeti and looking for the wild animals, and have lunch in the bush. In the late afternoon you will drive back to your lodge for another night’s sleep amongst the lions roaring and hyenas laughing. *Hotel: Tukaone Camp (twin room) **Breakfast, lunch and dinner included Day 5. The day saying bye to the wildlife After breakfast, you will start driving again with a packed lunch, and today you will be driving slowly towards the exit with the chance of seeing wildlife on the way. After exiting, you will pass through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area again. Here you will have the possibility of adding a maasai tribe visit, where you get the chance to visit a traditional maasai tribe and learn about their culture. After that, you will drive all the way to Moshi, a small town at the foot of Mount Kilimanjaro. *Hotel: Stella Maris (twin or dorm room) **Breakfast and lunch included Day 6. The day of the hotsprings Today you will drive out to the beautiful hot springs to be able to relax and enjoy the nature. You will spend the day relaxing, swimming, eating and enjoying yourself. *Hotel: Stella Maris (twin or dorm room) **Breakfast and lunch included Day 7. The day of Kilimanjaro On this day you will do a day hike to the base camp of the Marangu Route on Mount Kilimanjaro, where you will be able to get the feel of this majestic mountain. *Hotel: Stella Maris (twin or dorm room) **Breakfast and lunch included Day 8. Day off On this day it is completely up to you what you want to do, you can go around Moshi town, or go to one of the pools in town, or you can add on another day trip. *Hotel: Stella Maris (twin or dorm room) **Breakfast included Day 9. The day of driving to Magoroto Forest Estate Today you will pack up and drive to Magoroto Forest Estate in the Usambara Mountains. It takes around 6 hours to drive there with a beautiful view along the way. So you will get there in the afternoon, and be able to go on a hike, go to a waterfall or just chill by the lake and get ready for the nights bonfire. *Hotel: Magoroto Forest Estate (shared tents) **Breakfast, lunch and dinner included Day 10. The day of exploring Magoroto Forest Estate Just like the previous afternoon, this day is up to you with what you would like to explore aorund Magoroto. You can spend some quiet time by the lake, or you can jump in and go for a swim or kayak around on the lake, or you can go on nearby hikes. *Hotel: Magoroto Forest Estate (shared tents) **Breakfast, lunch and dinner included Day 11. The last day After breakfast, you will be heading back to Moshi and drive onwards to West Kilimanjaro for a beautiful sunset in the bush with a couple of drinks, where it is also possible to see some giraffes and zebras, to end this beautiful trip the right way. *Hotel: Stella Maris (twin or dorm room) **Breakfast included Day 12. The day of leaving You will say goodbye to Tanzania and depending on your flight out, you will be taken to the airport and go back home with many new memories.
