Trip Itinerary
1
Amalfi
Day 1-8
After we check in on the first day, our start will begin on day 2 with the Amalfi town and the valley "La Valle delle Ferriere" just above it - a deep and lush valley, crossed by a torrent of crystal clear water, spectacular waterfalls, ancient water mills and ironworks. The Ferriere Valley, Scala's most precious jewel, is one of the 41 Italian biogenetic reserves. A deep valley, primitive and lush, that begins in the mountains of Scala and ends six kilometers further down in the territory of Amalfi.
2
Atrani
Day 8
Atrani is just next to Amalfi and our exploration there will begin with Torre dello Ziro - one of a string of coastal watch towers, it is especially intriguing. Legends abound about it, including those that say it is haunted. Next stop is Santa Maria Del Bando - A small, solitary white building clinging to the bare rock, which stands out with its austerity among the vegetation and natural terracing, dominating from above the town of Atrani and the valley of the torrent Dragone. Then we continue to Villa Cimbrone Gardens - a cultural heritage that "rises from among roses and oleanders on a plateau from where the gaze extends to the sea”. Thus was Villa Cimbrone described, in the summer of 1853, by German historian Ferdinand Gregorovius
3
San Lazzaro
Day 8
We start at Grotta dello Smeraldo cave which is partly inundated by the sea and located in Conca dei Marini, Italy, on the Amalfi Coast. Then we will have a short panoramic trip by the car to San Lazzaro where we hit the trail to Monte Murillo peak. This peak is located right above the Valle delle Ferriere valley and there are stunning panoramic views to the Amalfi Coast. This excursion that makes it possible to discover the Lattari Mountains is certainly more challenging. We will be surrounded by the wildest green areas of the Mediterranean vegetation and will enjoy panoramic views on the Valle dei Mulini (Valley of the Mills)
4
Praiano
Day 8
Hiking on Path of the Gods (Sentiero degli dei) - The Path of the Gods takes us back in time, to the glory of the Greek period. Probably one of the most famous paths in Italy, this hike moves from Bomerano to Nocelle. Walking between heaven and earth, from the Path of the Gods, it is possible to admire one of the most breathtaking panoramas on Earth: a stunning view of the coast which ranges from the archipelago of Li Galli at your left to the Island of Capri in front of you. The Path of the Gods, despite the name, is also an extraordinary example of the work of human beings, who managed throughout the centuries to colonize even the most impracticable locations of the region. Walking in this spectacular scenery, there will be the occasion to meet local shepherds and farmers eventually. On this day we will also visit Passeggiata dell'amore and Grotte di Santa Barbara.
5
Positano
Day 8
Our first stop is the "Lemon point" - a picturesque shop for lemonade. Then we will enjoy the view from "Torre Trasita Positano" a historical residence with beautiful view. It's time to hit the trail - we head to "Sentiero alto degli dei" trail and make a circle through Santa Maria del Castello and get back to our car in Positano.
6
Villaggio Monte Faito
Day 8
Today is time to explore the "Sentiero del Angelo" trail which goes on the mountain ridge with stunning views, and we finish at the Chiesa di San Michele church. While travelling to the starting point we will pass through beautiful small villages Prezzano, Ticciano, Moiano and enjoy the full glory of the Mediterranean landscape.
