Granada

Day 1-3
Bienvenidos a Granada! Let's start this active holiday in my home city. I will pick you up or help you arrive at Granada city center, where you will have your accommodation organized in a local Airbnb or in our private chalet double rooms. Granada is Located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, Granada is packed with Moorish architecture, great tapas bars, and natural beauty. Take a walk around the old Arab quarter of the Albaicin, a labyrinth of crooked alleys, fountains, plazas, and whitewashed houses, or the 'Alcaiceria' (old silk market area) and observe the craftworks on sale that include ceramics, marquetry, and leather goods. If you're feeling energetic, climb the steep streets up to the Mirador de San Nicolas for sunset views over the famous Alhambra. If you have time, perhaps check out the historic Renaissance Cathedral and Capilla Real, or watch the world go by as you indulge in some tapas at a bar. Granada is the kind of city to leave your guidebook behind and trust your intuition. Evening: I will show you the rest of the historic city center and my favorite tapas bars. This tapas tour with drinks is invited by me! If someone still has energy, we can pop into the nightlife.

Valle de Lecrín

Day 3
I will drive the group to the Valley of Happiness. The Valley of Happiness or Valle de Lecrin in Spanish, is 40 kilometers South of the city of Granada. It is 45 km from the Costa Tropical and 45 km from the unspoiled villages of the Alpujarra. That's halfway between the Granada coastline, where we will pass later for 2 nights to the Costa Tropical. The valley is a group of small villages set amongst a backdrop of olive groves and almond trees. The countryside is picturesque. The valley is dotted with orange and lemons trees as far as you can see. There are plenty of pine, olive, and almond trees. The area has great hiking trails too. Depending on the group, I'm happy to bring the group on one short trek in this area.

Alpujarra Granadina

Day 3-4
TREVELEZ: Today let's go to Ham Capital of Spain and see several authentic white mountain villages. So let's go up to the highest point of the area. Trevélez is the second-highest village in Spain at 1,476 meters and the gateway to the mountains of the Sierra Nevada National Park. With a population of just 800 and a dramatic cliff-top location at the very top of a scenic valley, Trevelez is a wonderful village to explore and enjoy the views whether or not you plan to head higher into the mountains. And, yes, Trevelez ham is definitely a big thing in these parts. Something to do with the clear, dry mountain air in Trevelez seems conducive to producing the best jamón serrano (cured ham) in the country. Even if you happen to forget this odd fact, you will soon be reminded by the huge hams hanging in every second window throughout the village. And it isn’t just Trevelez ham, they also produce a wide variety of cured meats including some fantastic salami (some of which we carried on our hike and ate for lunch for several days). Trevelez is divided into three sections, with most of the tourist facilities found in the lower part of town (Barrio Bajo) but the town gets progressively more interesting and scenic as you go higher into Barrio Medio and Barrio Alto. The Rio Trevelez runs past the east side of the village, offering an atmospheric place to hang out and cool off in summer. We will stay overnight here in this Village. About the interest of the group, here I like to bring you on a small trek in the high mountains.
4

Costa Tropical

Day 4-6
COSTA TROPICAL: Today we will drive to the coast of Granada which is characterized by its beaches, almost entirely black and with thick sand or pebbles. The coast of Granada in Spain is called Costa Tropical, due to its special location, protected by the high Sierra Nevada mountains from the north wind. I planned to stay here for 2 nights, so later we can decide what exactly we are looking for. There are lots of options to choose from because The Costa Tropical has five centers: Almuñécar, Salobreña, Motril, Castell de Ferro, and La Rábita. In all of these, you will be able to try sports such as windsurfing, surfing, and scuba diving. sailing, water-skiing, hiking, and of course trying local Mediterranean cuisine and Granada ecological wines. I try to book us a nice apartment, so we can have our dinner, lunch, and breakfast also at home.
5

Málaga

Day 6
Today after breakfast, we will drive to Malaga and overnight to the Torremolinos area for 2 last nights. Beautiful Malaga is one of the largest cities in the southern Spanish region of Andalucia and a popular destination on the Costa del Sol. Known as the birthplace of Pablo Picasso, Malaga has incredible beaches, hiking, museums, shopping, and cuisine. Malaga has recently become a popular destination for cycling, attracting tourists from around the world to hit the pavement by bike. The Spanish city of Malaga is a Mediterranean seaport on the Costa del Sol in the Andalucía region of southern Spain. It's a gateway to southern Spain, a fantastic LGBT destination, and the birthplace of Picasso, also famous for its rich architectural history, Mediterranean cuisine, and local wines. Famous ruins in Malaga include the 11th-century Moorish castles Alcazaba and Castillo de Gibralfaro, as well as the nearby Roman Theater. The Malaga Cathedral is a gorgeous central destination within the city and a great example of local architecture. You can't go to Malaga without visiting the Picasso Museum and Picasso's birthplace. For those seeking more outdoor experiences, look no further than the botanical gardens, various farmers' markets, and even a bullfight at the infamous Plaza de Toros. Because we have a car, I will show you as much as possible the area from Malaga-Torremolinos and offer activities for all. My favorite activity is running at the beach early in the morning.

Torremolinos

Day 6-8
Costa del Sol's long, sandy beaches attract many gay visitors each year. In Torremolinos, the gayest beach is located along Paseo Maritimo, in front of El Gato Lounge - a 10-minute walk from La Nogalera gay village. This will be one of our last stops, and just want to welcome you again to Torremolinos which is the LGBTQ+ capital of southern Spain. A city with more than 325 days of sunshine a year, it has been an oasis of hedonism for decades. In the old days, it was visited by such illustrious personalities as Frank Sinatra, John Lenon, Brigitte Bardot, and Ava Gardner, among many others, who are said to have spent many crazy nights there. We offer you the chance to get to know this welcoming city on the Costa del Sol, where you can spend a pleasant beach, sun, and party holiday. In addition, it is perfect to visit other nearby points of interest such as Malaga, Ronda, Marbella, or Nerja.
