What's special?
special Seafood Festival!
special Brewery Tour
special Jimjilbang
A fantastic mix of gastronomy, libation, and culture. Join me as we make our way from the gateway city of Seoul to the South East port of Busan. We begin with a tasting tutorial of traditional Korean 'sool' [alcohol] in Seoul followed by a Seafood Festival on my friend [celebrity] chef's organic farm in Suwon. Then it's off to Jeonju, where we will stay in a Traditional Hanok and tour a local craft brewery. Finally, in Busan we will relax in a famous traditional Korean hot spring spa [Jimjilbang] by the sea. Those are just the basics. There are a lot more sites and adventures to be had, so please join me in making this a trip of a lifetime!

Trip Itinerary

Seoul

Day 1-2
Our first stop is in Seoul, where we will spend the night in the vibrant section of town named Iteawon. After a meet-up at our accommodations, we'll head out for dinner and get to know one another better. I will procure reservations for our tastings at 'Sool Club'. Depending on group/individual consensus, we can stay at Sool, explore the Iteawon nightlife, or retire for the evening. The next morning the city is our oyster to explore before we head out to Suwon for the Seafood Festival!
2

Suwon-si

Day 2-3
I expect this to be one of the highlights of our trip. After leaving Seoul we will travel to our accommodations in Suwon. After we check in we can head to the farm. *JUST IN* About this year's event: 4th Annual Seafood Feast November 4th Saturday 1pm to Sunset Arrive to a glass of champagne and over 600 oysters on the half shell brought straight up from Tongyeong that morning. Relax on the farm then with at least 6 more courses, from white wine mussels with farm dill seed freshly baked bread to dip in that broth…. The big seafood boil, cajun style, with crab, shrimp, crawfish, scallops and more, but that’s not all. We will post the full menu soon, but y’all know it’s gonna be grand. Ryan is a local celebrity chef who has appeared on cooking shows here in Korea, taught University cooking classes, and owner of Bear Foot Gardens. I myself am excited about this year's event!

Jeonju-si

Day 3-5
Jeonju is known for its Hanok Heritage Village as well as being designated as a UNESCO City of Gastronomy. Here we will stay in a real Korean Hanok [traditional house]. There are many things to do here besides just eat, drink, and be merry... museums, shrines, historic sites, dressing and strolling the streets in Hanbok [traditional Korean clothing], plus jewelry-making classes, to name a few. But I will also plan a brewery tour of a local craft brewery. This is a very picturesque place, so take a lot of photos.
4

Busan

Day 5-8
After our whirlwind adventures, we will really get a chance to rest by visiting a traditional Korean hot spring spa [Jiljimbang]. Busan Metropolitan City, is South Korea's second most populous city after Seoul with its port being South Korea's busiest and the sixth-busiest in the world. They even have a Little Russia Town. There is so much to see and explore here, it's impossible to list. There are temples, beaches and nightlife I have on agenda but I'm up for suggestions. This bustling city I've booked for 3 days upon which we will say annyeonghi gaseyo [goodbye]. From here you can take the KTX [high speedline] back to Seoul, fly out of Busan International or even grab a ferry to Japan! Options are yours. I'm sure we will be dear friends when we say goodbye but perhaps meet again!
