When people hear the name Bulgaria, it isn't typically associated with grand Christmas markets like those in Austria and Germany. But, well, Bulgaria tries and offers some great markets for the festive season. You can find the sweets and delicacies that you'd find at most of the European counterparts plus some more local specialties.
About me! Me, well I'm 31 years old and have been traveling for the past seven years. My path into globetrotting and being a nomad was somewhat accidental, I am glad nonetheless though. My passions are learning about different cultures, philosophy, history, hiking (generally anything in nature), and adventures off the typical path, just to name a few.
Details about the accommodation: Depending on availability, accommodation will be in 3* or above hotels with the possibility of breakfast; I will advise you later. In Plovdiv, we might even stay in a traditional Къща за гости (guesthouse) where you can admire the intriguing design and decor of the Bulgarian Revival Architecture of the 19th century. Any questions? You can let me know in the Q&A section! I will reply you as soon as possible!

Trip Itinerary
1
Sofia
Day 1-3
We will meet in Sofia. If you're flying in I will pick you up from the airport and bring you to the accommodation. If you will arrive via bus or train than I can also pick you up from the station. We'll spend the day in Sofia, I'll give you a brief introduction to the city, and the country in general and then spend the evening checking out one to two of the Christmas Markets. The second day will be to explore the city. I can give a tour of the historical side of the city, or the time can be used to go shopping.
2
Plovdiv
Day 3-4
Plovdiv is a truly ancient and beautiful city full of intrigue. The Kapana District is once such place that is not only beautiful, but alive and bustling. The Kapana District is now host to the annual Christmas Market and it is a beautiful sight to visit with much culinary diversity. If everyone is up to it we can head up to Nebet Tepe and have an incredible view of the city.
3
Sofia
Day 4
We will head back to Sofia to have a final lunch together and to bid each other farewell. We could even stop back at the main Christmas Market in Sofia for a quick brunch. I can then escort you back to the airport or bus station.
