Hello! I am Dora and please let me invite you to my Mix-and-Match trip in Athens as well as at the Mount Parnassus. Why Mix-and-Match? Everybody remembers Greece for Acropolis and Parthenon or the Aegean blue waters, the sun kissed beaches and the extravagant parties! But let’s put the truth on the table. Yes, you can snow ski in Greece, and you will be amazed how many ski centers there are even only a couple of hours from Athens. We begin our road-trip by a VIP minibus to the Mount Parnassus because it’s the largest and best equipped ski resort in Greece near cosmopolitan Arahova village. Skiing at the resort is an option with the accessories available to rent while whoever wants, can just relax at the chaise longue and enjoy the spectacular view from the mountain top! We will continue our cultural adventure with the archeological site of Delphi among UNESCO world heritage sites, only half an hour trip from the mountain. Spending two days at central Greece, the Athens city exploration and archeology experience begins! We will stay at beautiful shared or private rooms with the view of Parthenon! You will see the stops below. Bring with you the most comfortable shoes for our city walks and mountain hiking and warm but layered outfit. The winter in Athens is moderate and the sunshine warms us always!! Expectations from the trip I am looking forward to sharing a high quality and a luxurious trip in Greece offering relaxation and enlightenment. We will spend refreshing time outdoors in the mountains, exploring and learning about the history and myths of the archeological sites from an experienced and highly qualified archeologist. Trip Itinerary
1

Athens

Day 1-2
The first day will be our arrival day in Athens. We all will gather for a welcome aperitif at the beautiful apartment in the Athenian Historical centre. We will enjoy a night walk tour around the lighted Acropolis and I will arrange for us to enjoy a nice dinner at a hidden small taverna, a greek traditional restaurant in the city centre.

Parnassos Ski Centre

Day 2-3
We will travel with a VIP mini-bus from Athens to Arachova village. We will stay at a traditional renovated stone house of 1900s in private rooms. The house has a beautiful living room with a stone fireplace surrounded by windows with an amphitheatrical view of the valley, and the rocky white snow-covered landscapes. Our first stop will be for a morning coffee at this picturesque place before we take the tour to the mountain. We will drive for 30mins and arrive at the ski resort of Mount Parnassus. It is the largest, best equipped and most cosmopolitan ski resort in Greece, reaching the height of 2,260m! For adventure lovers there are plenty of skiing pistes at the snow park or for those wanting to have a more relaxing day, they can enjoy the warmth of the Chalet with a cup of hot chocolate or warm wine. During the sunny days we will enjoy the freshness of the altitude and the sun, so don't forget your sunglasses! In the evening we will head back to Arachova village for dinner at a traditional taverna.

Delphi Archaeological Museum

Day 3
The next morning we will visit the marvel of Delphi archeological site, one of the UNESCO World Heritage sites. We will explore the famous ancient sanctuaries, namely, the Athena Pronaia at the south part and the temple of the God Apollo. This comprises the Oracle of Delphi in antiquity and the ancient theatre.We will be guided by our professional archeologist. We will then visit Galaxidi for a memorable dinner at a coastal village, just half an hour away from Delphi. The fresh sea breeze, the tavernas lined up in a row, the fishing boats tied up in the marine and the colourful courtyards comprise a tranquil place. We will return in Athens that night.

Acropolis

Day 3-7
We will start our cultural private guided walk trip around the ancient city by visiting the sacred hill of Acropolis!! Acropolis is a cultural UNESCO World Heritage site and home to several temples, the most famous of which is Parthenon. We will admire the Monumental Statue of goddess Athena the protector of the city. Next comes the guidance at the Ancient Theatre of Dionysus, which is regarded as the first sample of Greek theatres and the birthplace of the Greek drama. We will walk and enjoy the ancient city around the Acropolis hill, the vibrant areas of Plaka and Monastiraki Flea Market, the ruins of the Ancient and Roman Agora, the rebuilt of Stoa Attalus and finally the National Observatory of Athens. We will experience together the strong local vibes of the area surrounded by street artists playing music and local vendors selling their products, while being greeted by locals at each place we will be visiting. We will have dinner out at local, local small taverna in the Athenian historical centre.

Temple of Poseidon

Day 7
We will spend half of our last day to visiting one of Greece's most picturesque coastal viewpoints, Cape Sounion. We will travel south Attica's scenic shoreline roads to reach the Ancient Temple of Poseidon, built on the top a towering sea cliff with fantastic view of the Aegean Sea. We will explore the ruins of this Temple dedicated to Posidon, the Greek god of the sea. We will end this personalised experience with a coffee and food by the temple, next to the coast. Depending on your departure details, I will arrange an airport transfer for you.
