Travel like a true desert Nomad, live the Tuareg lifestyle. If you have always wanted to roam the desert, then this tour is for you. Immerse yourself in nature and get away from the hustle and bustle of city and everyday life with this Sahara Desert tour. Enjoy the most magnificent desert landscape and see how it evolves dune after dune. This trip can continue with a minimum of 7 people and is fully guided by me and local experienced desert guides. This trip is perfect for photography lovers also (keep in mind that it is not possible to charge, so bring solar chargers with you or powerbanks as this is a remote experience. You will be able to charge in a desert camp the 4th day.) I am Maxime - Dutchie currently working in Saudi Arabia and Morocco, working as a travel designer & photographer specializing in the Middle East and North Africa. I am new on this platform, but I have traveled around the region and organized trips in Morocco before for clients and myself. I studied tourism & hospitality. If you want to get a glimpse of what I do and who I am you can find me over on IG withmaxime or www.withmaxime.com INCLUDING - breakfast, lunch, and dinner and beverages. - camping gear - transport from and to Marrakech - accommodation - experienced local desert guides who will take care of everything - This is a trek with camels (you yourself decide if you want to ride a camel or not, but in case of any emergencies we have a car on stand by at all times.) Keep in mind that this is a remote experience and that most nights we will set up our own desert camp, meaning there are no showers or bathrooms. We do bring enough water with us on this trip and make an improvised spot for bathing. You have to be okay with this! On the 4th night, we do sleep in a desert camp with showers and bathrooms.

Day 1

Day 1: Arrive at the airport in Marrakech and then we will drive towards our first destination. Travel like a true desert Nomad, live the Tuareg / bedouin lifestyle. If you have always wanted to roam the desert by camel, then this tour is for you. Immerse yourself locally and get away from the hustle and bustle of city and everyday life with our deep and remote Sahara Desert tour. Enjoy the most magnificent desert landscape and see how it evolves dune after dune. This trip can be booked with a minimum of 4 people and is fully guided.

Erg Chigaga

Day 1-2

Day 2: Mhamid – Oued Naam We start our Desert Trip riding our camels heading towards the big dunes of Erg Chigaga to discover the wonderful big desert. After about 3 hours riding, we stop for a lunch break under a shadowy tree, enjoy a tea and relax. We then continue our riding and Desert Trekking for another 3 hours until we reach a dry river (Oued Naam), where we will set our camp, and lit the campfire, cook a traditional Moroccan dinner and spend the night in a tent or under the starlit sky.

Day 2-3

Day 3: Oued Naam – Lotide In the morning, our trip continues in the midst of the desert. We will cross a large part of the desert for about 3 hours before we stop somewhere for lunch. After our meal, we continue our exploration and enjoy the fabulous desert landscape. After another 3 hours ride, we will set our camp in the wonderful dune area of Lotide. Here we will have our dinner around the fire and spend the night under the starlit sky or in the tent.

Day 3-4

Day 4: Lotide – Erg Chigaga Enjoy the sunrise and morning breakfast before we carry on with our trekking towards the big dunes of Erg Chigaga. Lunch and a cup of tea are offered in the Sacred Oasis before we reach the dunes. In this oasis, you will find palm trees and a source of water running the whole year that is used by nomads for personal use and for their herds. After another 15 km of riding/ walking ( optional), we arrive to the big dunes of Erg Chigaga, reaching a height of 300M and a span of 40 km. Here you can admire the sunset and experience a different world, one made of calmness and tranquility. You will enjoy dinner accompanied by local entertainment and spend the night in Berber tents at a Nomad Camp.

Day 4-5

Day 5: Erg Chigaga – Bougarn Dunes In the morning, we take the route back to the desert door (M’hamid). After about 3 hours riding/walking, we take a lunch break under a shadowy tree and continue our exploration to arrive at the dunes of Bougarn for the night, settle our tents, collect wood and make a campfire.

Day 5-6

Day 6: Bougarn Dunes – Mezouaria Dunes Wake up early in the morning to enjoy the sunrise and breakfast served in a Moroccan way. We then continue our trip discovering more of the Sahara Desert Morocco Sand dunes and stones before stopping for lunch and enjoying a cup of mint tea. Afterwards, we continue our Camel Trekking and riding/walking towards the dunes of Mezouria, where we will spend the night either in the tent or in the open air under the starry sky.

Day 7: Mezouria Dunes – M’hamid On the morning of the seventh day, we continue our ride towards Our camp or Hotel in M’hamid, where lunch together will mark the end of this exceptional tour. See you on the next adventure!
