I want to show you how the locals experience Athens and it's suburbs, in their day to day life. 🥰 New and old combined! 🇬🇷 Exploring the secrets of Sounio and the Temple of Posidon, the sacred area of Epidaurus, swimming in the blue sea of Greece, while getting to know the neighborhoods of the city of Athens and of course it's most precious diamond, the Acropolis! 🏖️ 🌅 🍸🏛️

Now let me introduce myself! 🤗 Hi, 👋 I am Marina, a greek - german girl, born and raised in Athens. 🇩🇪 🇬🇷 Since I was a little girl, I was fascinated by the energy the tourists brought in my town and wanted to be a part of it. 🤗 I’ve been raised in the hospitality industry, as my family owned “Rooms to let” for many years. We all know the key points of Athens, but I have explored all edges of the city and, as I am a passionate traveller myself, I have explored many places in Greece. 😎 So, do you want to join me, and let me show you the beauties of my country? 😊

Details about the accommodation: We will stay in a 3* star hotel in the city center with included breakfast. The rooms will be double rooms with single beds, or one double if you come with a friend or partner, so please be sure that you are comfortable with sharing a room. The hotel is easy accesible by public transport from the airport, and is in an ideal spot from where we can reach everything by foot. Do you have a question about the trip? Day 1-2

The Eleftherios Venizelos Airport is about 45 minutes from the city center with the metro blue line and the hotel is suited 5 min on foot from the Monastiraki station. We will meet in the hotel lobby and get settled down in our rooms and the area. We will have a walk in the city center to get oriented and have our welcome cocktails and dinner at the most wonderful rooftop of Athens, with Acropolis view at its best. 🏛️

Day 2-3

First things first. In the morning we will visit the archaeological site of the Acropolis, where I will inform you about all the important stories and details about this one-of-a-kind site. 🏛️ Afterward, we will visit the new museum of the Acropolis, where all the sculptures and parts of history are. In the afternoon we will stroll around Aeropagitou Street, the well-known Plaka area, and end up in the streets of the Psiri area, one of the most alive parts of Athens, and enjoy our dinner in a traditional tavern. 🍷

Day 3-4

Our day will start with my favorite walk in the city center of Athens. We start at the Arch of Hadrian and the Temple of Olympian Zeus. We continue by the Zappeio Gardens and end up at the Panathinaikon Stadium. We then make our way inside the National Garden towards the Parliament where we will admire the changing of the guards in front of the Parliament, while I explain to you the importance of this ritual. We will continue our walk on Panepistimiou Street and make our way up to Exarchia Area, the most alive part of Athens. There we will have lunch in a traditional kitchen. 🍲 In the afternoon we will take the cable car and get up to the highest point of Athens center, Lyccabettus Hill, and admire the Sunset. 🌇 The night is young, so everyone is free to enjoy a drink in one of the many bars in the city center. 🍸

Sounion

Day 4-5

The first day - trip of our journey is about to get started. With our rented van we will make our way to my favorite spot in Attica, Sounion. There we will admire the beauty of the Poseidon Temple as well as the clear blue sea that extends as far as your eyes may see. The weather is usually pretty good even at that time of the year, so we will enjoy our day by the beach. 🏖️ After our swim, we will grab something to eat at the local fish tavern and make our way back home. 🍻 Again don't hesitate to ask if anyone is in the mood for a drink, there are a lot of bars to discover.🍸

Day 5-6

On the last full day of our trip, we will head to the Archaeological site of Epidaurus. We all know about the well-known Teatre of Epidaurus, but did you know that there is a whole Archaeological site? If not, now is the time to get to know it! On our way, we will also stop at the Isthmus of Corinth and admire this unique canal. On our way back we will have our farewell dinner - party to close properly the trip! 🍸

Day 6

On the departure day, we will all enjoy our last breakfast in Greece. Depending on your time of departure we can have some fun in the city center until it's time to say goodbye! Again the metro will get you to the airport in 45 minutes!
