World-class art museums? Yes! More wine than you can drink in a lifetime? Check! Breathtaking year-round weather, drool-worthy local dishes, and more architectural sights than you can imagine? Absolutely! Porto is the second largest city in Portugal but by no means the second most beautiful; it's a city full of history and culture. The city boasts one of the world's most impressive collections of Art Nouveau buildings, many of which are still in use today; winding cobblestone streets lined with pastry shops, art galleries, and underground bars; and a glittering waterfront promenade with the cathedral lined with cafes and restaurants. Besides a day trip to the Douro Valley with amazing wine, cheese, and oil tasting, we will spend one day in the ancient city of Braga, a cultural must-see! Sounds like a perfect mix to spend a short holiday with a group of other like-minded international travelers? So come join me on my trip to the beautiful and unique city of Porto! What's Included: - 4 nights at the beautiful artsy accommodation with a PRIVATE ROOM room! - Guided wine tour and tasting 🍷 - Cheese and olive oil tasting 🧀🫒 - 1 h Douro River cruise tour 🚢 - Guided Walking Tour 🚶‍♀️ - Train ticket to Braha 🚆 - A small trip leader fee 💸 Looking forward to hearing from you and to going on this adventure together! 🫶 If you have any questions please let me know in the Q&A section and I will come back to you as soon as possible!

Trip Itinerary
1

Porto

Day 1-2
On our first day, after checking in our beautiful apartment, we will explore Porto by strolling through the streets, going to the famous double-decked bridge and check out the quarter of Ribeira. The natural stone houses with red roof tiles were crumbling away but today the waterside neighbourhood of Ribeira has been beautifully restored. Let`s enjoy our first authentic dinner in a local restaurant.
2

Douro

Day 2-3
We will be picked up in the city to go on a wine tasting tour and get to know different vineries in the Douro Valley. Besides the traditional lunch, port wine, cheese and oil tasting, we will take a cruise on the Douro valley and relaxe on the boat while admiring the beautiful landscape. The car will take us back to the city in the late afternoon.
3

Porto

Day 3-4
Dating all the way back to the 12th century, the iconic Romanesque Porto Cathedral is the city’s most important church, located near São Bento Station at one of the highest points in the City of the Bridges. We will go on a walking tour and learn more about Potos famous sights. We will also pass by one of the city’s most beloved photography hotspots: the old Largo da Pena Ventosa square, where colorful houses surround it enchantingly.
4

Braga

Day 4-5
We will take the train to the ancient city of Braga. The ride takes about 35 minutes. We will spend the day there, enjoy a nice lunch meal, and explore the cultural beauty and heritage of the city in the north of Portugal.
5

Porto

Day 5
Last day and last breakfast together, before checking out of our cozy apartment. Depending on your further travel plans and agenda, you can spend the day as you like. Explore the city individually, take a boat trip, go back to your favorite spots or cafes. I'm sure we'll catch up somewhere in the world again.
