About Me! Hey there! My name is Mazaruni Khan and I'm a passionate traveler from Kenya. I recently travelled the breathtaking trails of Nepal, where every step was a journey of discovery and adventure. I'm eager to connect with fellow adventurers, share stories of our travels, and perhaps even plan new expeditions together. So, are you expected to embark on this journey together?

As we will be taking the Sirimon Route to Point Lenana on Mount Kenya, we will be camping at designated campsites that provide basic facilities. However, there are also mountain huts which one can opt for at key accommodation points. These points are at: 1. Old Moses Camp: Located at an altitude of around 3,300 meters, Old Moses Camp is the first overnight stop for trekkers on the Sirimon Route. It offers basic bunkhouse accommodation and camping facilities. Trekkers can enjoy meals at the camp's dining area and replenish their water supplies. 2. Shipton's Camp: Situated at approximately 4,200 meters, Shipton's Camp is a popular high-altitude campsite for trekkers on both the Sirimon and Naro Moru routes. It provides bunkhouse accommodation, camping facilities, and dining areas. Trekkers can enjoy stunning views of the surrounding peaks from this camp. 3. Kami Hut: Kami Hut is a smaller campsite located at around 4,500 meters, serving as an intermediate stop for trekkers between Old Moses Camp and Shipton's Camp. It offers basic shelter and camping facilities for trekkers looking to break up the ascent to Shipton's Camp. Both types of accommodation will allow travellers to rest and acclimatize before the summit. Any questions about the trip? You can let me know in the Q&A section!
