I'm planning to road-trip through the Sri Lankan island. We'll be arriving in Colombo where we'll pick up our tuktuk before heading to Sigiriya to explore the Lion's Rock. We will be visiting the tea plantations in Ella, temples in Kandy, surf in Arugam Bay, take a safari to see leopards and elephants in Yala national park, enjoy the beaches and culture of the southern coast and snorkel in Galle's reef.

Colombo
Day 1-2
We'll be spending the first night in the capital, exploring markets, enjoying some street food and visiting monuments including Jami Ul-Alfar Mosque (red mosque), Lotus Tower, and watching the sunset at Galle Face Green a local spot with culture and local venders.

Sigiriya
Day 2-3
Heading to Sigiriya for day 2 where we'll visit the impressive ancient Lion's Rock and Pidurangala Rock. This day includes hiking and climbing a lot of stairs, but everything will be both the amazing view from the top viewpoint.

Kandy
Day 3-5
Arriving in one of the most well knowns and characteristics towns in Sir Lanka, Kandy. Here we'll be exploring monasteries, temples and getting a feeling of the local live by exploring the city and its hidden gems.

Ella
Day 5-7
Ella is the Tea capital of the island, here we'll adventure into nature, with hikes to Little Adam's Peak, Boburu Fall, Ravana's Cave, Ella Rock View Point and finally have a tour of Uva Halpewatte Tea Factory Tour where we'll learn about tea making, harvesting, and we'll have the opportunity to create our own bland to take home.

Arugam Bay
Day 7-8
This is going to be a chill stop over, if you like to surf it will be possible to rent a board and catch some waves in one of the most iconic spots in the country, if you are a beginner and would like to try out surfing, it's also possible to book a class at No Worries Surf Shop.

Yala National Park
Day 8-9
This is one of the largest national parks on the Sri Lankan island, here we'll be going on a safari day whew we'll be seeing wild life like leopard, elephants, monkeys and many different species of birds.

Mirissa
Day 9-11
Arriving at the back hand of the trip, we'll need some relaxation. This is the beach day part of the trip, we'll be exploring different world famous beaches and discovering new hidden gems along the southern coast of the island.

Unawatuna
Day 11-12
Welcome to the famous fishing coast of the Indian Ocean. He we'll se the famous pole fisherman, enjoy some son and relax on these stunning beaches. We'll also get close and personal with some sea turtles at Sea Turtle Farm & Hatchery, and maybe be lucky enough to see them hatch.

Galle
Day 12-14
Galle is the snorkel capital of this island country, big colonial culture and influence mixed with beautiful nature, beaches and saline. here we'll snorkel with fish, dolphin and whale watch, learn how to cook some local dishes at Sea Waves Restaurant & Cooking Classes, and enjoy beautiful sunsets.

Colombo Bandaranaike International Airport
Day 14
Heading back to the capital to catch our flight, we'll stop at a few stops along the way, and have a last swim at Boossa Beach, one of the most spectacular spots in Sri Lanka, before heading north to Bandaranaike International Airport (CMB).
