Day 1-2
¡Bienvenidos! Your private guide/driver will be waiting for you at the airport to greet you, help you with your luggage, and lead you to your private transportation. During an approx. 30 to 45-minute drive to your hotel. At 9,350 feet (2,850 m) above sea level, Quito is one of the highest cities in the world. Quito was built on the ashes of the northern Inca capital after the Spanish conquest in 1533. The city is surrounded by majestic Andean peaks, including the restless Volcán Pichincha. Upon arrival at the UNESCO World Heritage Site, visitors can stroll through its charming plazas, markets, and shops, which offer locally-made hats and other products. At night, they can enjoy a vibrant nightlife and culinary scene.


Day 2-3
Quito - The Living Museum: Stroll through the cobbled streets of Quito's historic center, a UNESCO World Heritage site. Marvel at its colonial architecture, visit majestic churches and savor the local flavors in traditional markets. Discover the magic of the equator like never before at Quitsato, an extraordinary site that merges ancient astronomy with breathtaking landscapes. Located in the precise middle of the world, Quitsato offers a unique and insightful experience that will leave you in awe. Meals included: Breakfast


Day 3-4
Today, immerse yourself in the traditional craftsmanship of the Otavalo community with a hands-on Totora experience. Learn the ancient techniques of weaving and crafting using totora reeds, a vital part of local culture. Optionally, participate in a shamanism session to connect with the spiritual heritage of the region. Overnight stay in Otavalo. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch


Day 4-5
Begin your day exploring the vibrant Otavalo Market, renowned for its colorful textiles and handmade crafts. Continue to the serene Papallacta Hot Springs for a relaxing soak in the natural thermal waters. In the evening, check in at Itamandi Lodge and enjoy a peaceful night surrounded by nature. Meals included: Breakfast, Dinner


Day 5-6
After breakfast, we walk through the primary and secondary forest. This activity lasts about 2 - 1/2 to 3 hours. In the afternoon it is time to enjoy a cultural activity. An Amazonian Kichwa community passed us by and we will learn about their way of life and the interaction they have with the jungle. In this meeting, that part of the Amazon that is not found on maps will be shown: the Amazonian people in their daily lives. Part of our visit to the community consists of sharing the famous "chicha", a fermented yucca drink that has become part of their festivities and daily consumption. We will participate in the preparation of this drink and try some of the traditional dishes. We will end the visit with a traditional dance performed by the children of the community and we will also have time to buy some handicrafts made by the indigenous people of the area. This small company is of great help to support the daily life of the indigenous people. Meals included: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner


Day 6-7
Start your day with check-out from Itamandi Lodge and travel to the Yanacocha Reserve. Nestled in the Andean cloud forest, Yanacocha is a haven for birdwatchers and nature enthusiasts. Explore the reserve's trails and marvel at the diverse flora and fauna, including the striking hummingbirds that frequent the area. Enjoy a guided tour to learn about the conservation efforts and the ecological importance of this unique environment. After your visit, continue to Macas for an overnight stay. Meals included: Breakfast


Day 7-8
Begin your day with a visit to the Shuar Waterfall, where you'll be enchanted by the natural beauty and have the opportunity to learn about the Shuar culture and traditions. Continue your journey to Altillo Lake, a picturesque spot perfect for relaxation and taking in the stunning Andean scenery. After exploring the lake, proceed to Guamote, where you will spend the night, experiencing the charm of this traditional Andean town. Meals included: Breakfast


Day 8-9
Start your day with a visit to a native community in the Chimborazo region. Immerse yourself in their culture, traditions, and way of life, gaining insight into the rich heritage of the Andean people. Next, enjoy a unique opportunity to spot vicuñas in their natural habitat, appreciating these graceful animals against the backdrop of the stunning Chimborazo landscape. After a day of cultural and natural exploration, travel to Latacunga for an overnight stay. Meals included: Breakfast


Day 9-10
Begin your day with a visit to the Saquisilí Market, one of the most vibrant and authentic markets in Ecuador. Explore the bustling stalls filled with colorful textiles, fresh produce, and handmade crafts, offering a true taste of local life. Afterward, travel to the stunning Quilotoa Crater Lake. Spend the night in Quilotoa, enjoying the serene atmosphere and breathtaking views of the crater lake. Meals included: Breakfast


Day 10-11
Start your day with an exhilarating kayaking adventure on the stunning Quilotoa Crater Lake, surrounded by breathtaking views. Afterward, head to Cotopaxi National Park for a hike on the slopes of the majestic Cotopaxi Volcano. Enjoy the diverse landscapes and incredible scenery as you explore one of Ecuador's most iconic natural landmarks. In the evening, travel to Machachi for an overnight stay. Meals included: Breakfast

Mindo Valley

Day 11-12
Embark on a cultural journey to visit the Tsáchila tribe, also known as the Colorados for their traditional red dye. Immerse yourself in their ancient traditions, including their unique body painting and spiritual practices. Learn about their customs, folklore, and the medicinal plants they use. After a enriching cultural experience, proceed to Mindo, a biodiverse paradise nestled in the cloud forest. Spend the night in Mindo, where you can relax and enjoy the serene natural surroundings. Mindo Valley

Day 12-13
Spend a thrilling day exploring the natural wonders of Mindo with adventurous activities including the tarabita (cable car), canopy (zip-line), and zipline tours. Start your day with a ride on the tarabita, offering panoramic views of the lush cloud forest below. Then, experience the adrenaline rush of zip-lining through the treetops on a canopy tour, enjoying bird's-eye views of the forest canopy and the rushing rivers below. After a day of exhilarating activities, return to Mindo for a relaxing evening, where you can unwind and enjoy the peaceful ambiance of this biodiverse paradise. Meals included: Breakfast


Day 13-14
Begin your day with a visit to the Alambi Cloud Forest Reserve, renowned for its diverse birdlife and lush vegetation. Explore the trails with expert guides, observing hummingbirds and other exotic bird species in their natural habitat. Afterward, journey to the Middle of the World Museum, where you’ll experience standing on the equator line. Discover the fascinating exhibits that highlight the cultural and scientific significance of this unique geographic location. In the evening, return to Quito for a relaxing night in the city, where you can unwind and reflect on the day’s adventures. Meals included: Breakfast
