We will visit some of the most beautiful Christmas markets in this region. Did you ever hear of Ravenna Gorge Christmas market? We will stay in decent hotels, in Freiburg it is a **** place (breakfast not included), the second night we will stay in a traditional *** German Guesthouse (breakfast included) close to Gengenbach. Trip Itinerary

Freiburg im Breisgau
Day 1-2
Meet your other tripmates and me at our hotel in Freiburg at 2 p.m. and drop off your bags. We will head to the amazing Freiburg Christmas market right away and get a first taste of Bratwurst and Glühwein there. Now it’s time for a very unique place: we will travel by bus to the Ravenna Christmas market, which is in a very special and beautiful place. This is really something outstanding, I have never been there before and I am looking so much forward to it. You have to get tickets in advance to attend this Christmas market and I will go for it and get the tickets for you (there is a very very slight chance I can’t get any tickets, in this case I will pick another beautiful Christmas market in the area for us, but don’t worry. Can confirm this mid October 😊) After this amazing experience we head back to Freiburg and return to the hotel or you can explore Freiburg nightlife if you want.

Gengenbach
Day 2-3
The next morning, we will have to find a place for breakfast as it is not included, but usually there is a nice bakery around. We will visit Freiburg Münster for soaking up some culture before taking the train to our next destination, Gengenbach. The town itself is always beautiful, but even more in Christmas time and the Christmas market is said to be one of the most beautiful in Black Forest if not in Southern Germany. I have booked rooms in a nice rural hotel in the area for the night and we’re lucky, a light breakfast is included the next morning.

Baden-Baden
Day 3
Now it’s time to travel to our next and last destination: Baden-Baden. If you are not fed up with Christmas markets yet, there is another one there and it is also stunning. But there are also lots of other options: bring a swimsuit and take a swim in the famous thermal baths, visit world class art in amazing Burda Museum, take a stroll in the amazing city or even take the Merkur funicular railway. Trip ends in Baden-Baden in late afternoon.
