I love a great city and beautiful beach, but ultimately I love to explore "off the beaten path" discovering destinations that are new to me, and meeting amazing local people and similarly minded travelers. Learning about international (or local) cultures is fun and fulfilling, and really enhances the connections that can provide for a better world. It's also fun to eat like a local - it it looks unfamiliar or I can't pronounce it all the better (or sometimes maybe for just one bite!)!
