Hi! I'm Thanasi and I am an experienced traveller. Smiley, optimistic and inquisitive are words that describe me well. I have lived for 14 years in five different countries and over the years I made great friends from all over the world. I am fluent in English, Greek and Indonesian and speak Spanish and French too. I have a varied background (lived in different continents, went to five unis, changed careers, learned languages) and I have many interests. Trekking, history, nature, plants, music, books, less known movies.. Since I was younger I used to plan trips with my friends abroad; they let me do everything and they always told me to do it professionally. I never took their advice seriously until I came across JoinMyTrip; so here I am! I love organizing trips to detail so that we don't waste time looking for hotels, restaurants or transportation. When travelling time should be spent exploring and enjoying. Yet, I am not pedantic. There must be free time too, and chances for surprises! Thanasi was amazing as a trip leader. Very laid back and accomodating, he put together a great itinerary taking us to popular places but also finding out about off-the-beaten paths from all the locals. Great mix of trekking, sightseeing and relaxing and most importantly food! At each stop we sampled what was best locally, from the lamb to bakeries to goat milk ice cream. The whole thing felt organic but well organised. If you have an interest in language or plants, Thanasi's knowledge of these was an absolute bonus which made the experience so much more informative and eye opening. Would join Thanasi on a trip again!

Thanasi is the best TripLeader you can get. He's the right mix of funny and responsible, with deep knowledge of the local culture and an easy-going positive attitude. His travels are carefully planned and he has a great capacity of sorting out all the inevitable unforseen circustances that make traveling such an unique experience. You can't go wrong with him.
