Jeremy Hou

Hi there, I'm Jeremy from Singapore. When I was 16, I got on a plane for the first time, and visited Australia and New Zealand. I really enjoyed the experience and since then I have travelled to many more countries. In 2009 I bought a round-the-world ticket and spent seven months living out of a suitcase. Along the way, I studied Spanish in Madrid, went snorkelling in the Bahamas, saw incredible art in Italy, got drunk in Los Angeles, went scuba diving in Mexico, and volunteered at a sea turtle conservation centre in Costa Rica. I love the feeling of going somewhere new, not really knowing quite what to expect but also excited and up for the adventure. I like reading about the history of a place and letting my creativity run wild, imagining scenes in my mind as I visit those places. Travelling for me is a way to open my mind and clear up preconceptions. It's a way for me to connect, learn and empathise. I hope you'll join me on this journey.
