Top 5 things you should definitely take with you on your group trip

Who needs a packing list?

Okay okay, you probably already know what you pack when you travel. If you’re reading this, you’re probably outgoing globetrotters and already experienced travelers. There is the basic equipment with all the trimmings that everyone has – and then everyone has so his little extras that they bring. But who thinks about the group?

We do! That’s why we’ve picked out a few things you shouldn’t forget on your next group trip. They will not only make your life easier, but also ensure a good mood and fun evenings.

1.  Card Games

The weather is not playing along and you have a rainy day on your trip? No problem, with a few fun card games in your luggage you’ll always be in a good mood! Make yourself comfortable inside with a cup of tea (or even a glass of wine or beer) and unpack your favorite games. I myself have spent countless good evenings playing cards with friends while traveling – most of the time you also have the chance to learn and try out new card games from others. If you still need inspiration, here are a few often-played legendary card game suggestions for you (you can easily find the rules on Google):
With classic playing cards:

  •  Shithead (don’t let the name fool you!)
  • RommΓ©
  • Poker

Of course, there are not only the classic cards and because decks of cards do not take up much space in the suitcase, we also like to have games like UNO and Phase 10 with us. Almost everyone knows these games and if not, you can learn them quickly.
A little less known, but certainly not less entertaining is “Kuhandel” – is just as fun and I can also highly recommend!

My absolute highlight, however, is Jungle Speed! I have already laughed tears with this game and it is always responsible for a super evening.  In addition to colorful cards with different patterns is still a small totem made of wood – but still compact and easy to take along and fits in any hand luggage!

2. Cables, Cables, Cablesconvertkit-YrdSQ_1gYRE-unsplash

Granted – it may not sound all that sexy, but an extension cord- also known as a power strip – will make obsolete a lot of dialogue that sounds something like, “Where’s the outlet here?” “There – but my cell phone is already hanging there. There’s another one over there.” “Yes but that’s where I’m charging my laptop right now.” And so on. I’m sure you can imagine.

Especially for CoWorking trips, extension cords are a must – but also when you are traveling as a group, they are a helpful companion and ensure that everyone in the group has enough “power”.

3. First Aid Kit

A first aid kit is one of those things you hope you’ll never need, but are glad to have when you do. Check out the pharmacy of your choice and ask for the most common first aid kit. Meanwhile, there are also many providers who offer a first-aid kit especially for travel.

For example

  • Clinical thermometer,
  • Medication for pain and fever,
  • Medication for coughs and colds (decongestant nasal sprays also make it easier to equalize pressure during air travel),
  • Medication for mouth and throat infections,
  • Medication for travel sickness, diarrhea and motion sickness (electrolyte mixtures, preparations to restore the intestinal flora),
  • Medications for digestive problems such as heartburn or constipation,
    anti-allergic drugs,
  • Eye drops against dry eyes and conjunctivitis.
  • Disinfectants,
  • Wound and healing ointment,
  • cooling compresses,
  • Dressing material (aluminized gauze for burns, elastic bandages, adhesive plasters),
  • Scissors, tweezers, disposable gloves, blister plasters if necessary.

In addition to the medical items, and depending on the country you are traveling to, you should also have mosquito spray, sunscreen, and a nail scissors/pinch. Even with these things, one or two pieces are usually enough, so that not everyone has to pack everything.

4. Noise-cancelling Headphones

Noise-canceling headphones not only pay off when traveling on the bus, at the airport or on the plane, but also when you want to have a few quiet minutes to yourself. Then it’s time to lean back and enjoy the silence or good music!

This is also a must for CoWorking trips, as it can easily happen that one of your fellow travelers has different calls. So that you can still concentrate well on your work, such special headphones are very practical.

5. Daypack

A daypack or daypack is an awesome travel companion – but from experience I know that such a thing is easily forgotten, so I wanted to mention it anyway.

In addition, a small anecdote from the life of a TripLeader: actually, one of my fellow travelers did not have a small bag, backpack or other, what he as a container for his five things that you need for a beach trip in the afternoon so (so towel, swimsuit, cell phone, wallet and mask). For lack of alternatives he unpacked an old Amazon plastic bag (the white-gray) still with delivery sticker on it, and used this. Necessity is the mother of invention!
But a daypack is of course much more practical and better to organize – and better to carry of course. Oh yes, do not forget your water bottle! πŸ™‚
