Get ready for an authentic road trip adventure through the raw beauty of Montenegro! 🌲After our first night in the capital, on Tuesday morning, we will load up our rental car, leave the city behind, and hit the scenic roads deep into the mountains 🚗. Our days will be dedicated to breathing the crisp alpine air in the Durmitor National Park and the ancient forests of Kolašin ⛰️. Having our own wheels gives us the ultimate freedom to explore at a perfect pace -> we will hike around stunning glacial lakes like the famous Black Lake and the wild Jablan Jezero 💧, drive the breathtaking high-altitude Sedlo Pass, stop at jaw-dropping viewpoints over the Tara River Canyon 🏞️, and fuel our hikes with incredible local food, from warm cheese and spinach burek to traditional mountain kačamak 🧀🥗. On Saturday, we will hike the magical Mrtvica Canyon before heading south for a relaxing sunset boat tour among the water lilies of Lake Skadar 🚤🪷. By Saturday evening, we will drop off the car and settle back into Podgorica 🌆. Sunday is dedicated to pure, relaxed city exploration, wandering through the Ottoman-era streets of Stara Varoš, discovering brutalist architecture 🚶‍♂️, and sharing a chill farewell dinner before our Monday departure ✨.

I am an energetic and friendly traveler who believes the best part of any trip is the people you meet along the way 🤝. I love interacting with locals and fellow backpackers to share stories and laughs. I am a huge sports enthusiast and always up for an active challenge, whether it is a mountain trek or any physical activity 🥾🏃‍♂️. I have maby passions and love discovering new by talking to people. Love discovering local beers, and I am always on the hunt for the perfect cold pint after a day of exploring 🍺. I love hunting for delicious local food and hidden culinary gems (mainly vegetarian) 🌱. I am social, open-minded, and looking for a crew to share this epic journey with!

Depending on the final group size and our needs, we will alternate between staying in hostels and private apartments 🏨. Rest assured, we will always aim for the most comfortable solutions possible to ensure we recharge properly after our hikes! 🛌 Apartments give us a great cozy space to bond as a group, while hostels provide a vibrant communal atmosphere where we can connect with other travelers from all over the world 🌏. It is all about finding the perfect balance between a great social vibe, sharing tips, and having a comfortable place to call home during our daily adventures ✌️

Tuesday: The Canyon & The Lake -> After our drive up from Podgorica, we will stretch our legs with an easy, breathtaking walk to the Ćurevac viewpoint, giving us a jaw-dropping look into the massive Tara River Canyon 🏞️. Later in the afternoon, we will take a relaxing, flat stroll around the iconic Black Lake (Crno Jezero). The dark pine forests reflecting in the water make for a perfect sunset vibe before we dive into some local comfort food like warm cheese burek or a hearty portion of traditional kačamak 🧀. Wednesday: The Rocky Heights -> Get ready for the high-altitude world! 🚗 We will take a highly scenic drive up to the Sedlo Pass, parking our car at 1900 meters. From there, we will embark on a manageable hike toward the Škrčko Ždrijelo pass. Because we start so high up, the elevation gain is minimal, but the lunar-like landscapes, open ridges, and towering peaks will make you feel like you are on top of the world ⛰️. Thursday: The Deep Forest -> For our final full day here, we are heading into the wild woods 🌲. We will drive to Bosača, the highest village in the Balkans, to skip the heavy uphill sections and hike directly toward the hidden Jablan Jezero 💧. Nestled right beneath a massive, reddish cliff, this glacial lake is the perfect, peaceful spot to disconnect, share stories, and truly absorb the raw nature of Montenegro at our own pace ✨.

Friday: The Great Bridge & The Virgin Forest It is time to pack our bags and head east toward our next mountain retreat -> Kolašin! 🌲 The drive itself is an absolute highlight, as we will make a must-do stop at the monumental Đurđevića Tara Bridge. You will have plenty of time to walk across this massive architectural marvel, taking in the dizzying views of the bright blue river carving through the canyon below 🌉. In the afternoon, we will dive right into Biogradska Gora National Park, which is famous for protecting one of the last three remaining virgin forests in Europe 🍃. We will take a completely flat and magical walk around the pristine Biogradsko Lake, entirely surrounded by ancient, towering trees. It is a stunning, low-effort trail perfect for taking some deep breaths, shooting incredible photos, and just enjoying the peaceful atmosphere 💧. By evening, we will settle into our accommodation in the cozy town of Kolašin.

Saturday: Hidden Canyons & Water Lilies -> We will start our Saturday morning leaving Kolašin and heading to the stunning Mrtvica Canyon. This hike is a true hidden gem, featuring ancient stone bridges, crystal-clear pools, and a magical path carved directly into the sheer rock face leading to the "Gate of Wishes" (Kapija Želja) 🪨. After exploring the canyon, we will drive south to Virpazar to trade our hiking shoes for a boat 🚤! We will enjoy a peaceful sunset cruise on Lake Skadar, gliding among the water lilies and soaking in the incredible wetland scenery 🪷. After the tour, we will drive to the airport to drop off our rental car, ensuring a completely stress-free end to our road trip, and settle into our accommodation in Podgorica for the night 🌆. Sunday: City Vibes & Farewell -> Our final full day is all about pure relaxation and taking it easy in the capital 🚶‍♂️. With no driving or hiking schedules to follow, we will explore Podgorica on foot at our own pace. We can wander through the narrow, Ottoman-era streets of Stara Varoš, check out the striking brutalist architecture, and spend time chilling in local cafes ☕. It is the perfect day to buy some souvenirs, reflect on our epic mountain adventures, and just enjoy each other's company. In the evening, we will gather for a cozy farewell dinner -> indulging in some amazing local cuisine and sharing our favorite memories from the trip before our Monday departure ✨.
