Art der Reise
Welcome to Zimbabwe! We will be staying in a campsite in the town of Victoria Falls for two night. Upon our arrival we will spend the whole afternoon exploring the mighty falls. We will then enjoy a local dinner in one of the restaurants in town. The next day, day day, is a free day, either relax by the pool, do some shopping or enjoy a full day of optional activities. (contact us for more info regarding these activities).
Chobe National Park
The Chobe River flows along the northern boundary of the Chobe National Park attracting some of the largest herds of elephant in Africa. We will be camping for only one night. In the early morning we search for game on the floodplains of the Chobe river, then in the afternoon we will be doing a sunset boat cruise which is a highlight as we see the mighty elephant herds returning to the Chobe River to quench their thirst.
Moving more South over the sand ridge and into the Mababe depression we arrive at the Savuti Marsh. This open grassland area attracts many herds of herbivores, which in turn draw the large lion prides for which Savuti is famous. We spend our days doing morning and afternoon game drives and camping in the most wild areas of the park.
Moremi Game Reserve
We leave one of the main channels of the Delta to go more South into the Moremi Game Reserve. We will be camping for three nights in the middle of nature and will be spending our days doing mornings and afternoon game drives in order to find the best animal sightings.
We get ready to head into the Okavango Delta where we will be spending two nights camping in the wild. We use traditional Mokoros to go deeper into the Delta, set up camp for two nights in one of the many islands and simply blend with all of our surroundings. We will be doing morning and afternoons game walks. During the day its possible to go for a swim with the locals in one of the channels of the Delta, or learn how to pole the Mokoro.
We leave the wilderness behind and go back to civilization. We arrive in the little town of Maun for lunch time. Take the afternoon to relax at your hotel or do an optional scenic flight over the Delta for the next day. Last dinner together in town.
Last day, time to say goodbye. Your flight back home should depart from Maun international airport.
