Details zu diesem Trip
This trip is for you if… you’re curious about history, movement, and exploring places beyond the obvious. You’ll learn through walking ancient sites, navigating unfamiliar regions, and stepping into spaces carved by human hands long ago. 🌄 Journey Overview This journey unfolds as a slow but purposeful road trip through the deep cultural and spiritual layers of Anatolia. Beginning in Kayseri, the route moves through some of the oldest human and spiritual landscapes on Earth. We travel south and east across wide plateaus and ancient regions, visiting places such as Mount Nemrut, Göbekli Tepe, and the quiet, contemplative heart of Konya and Rumi’s legacy. The journey then curves in the surreal landscapes of Cappadocia. There is space to pause, integrate, and rise gently into the sky by hot air balloon before departure.

🧭 Guiding Philosophy I guide this journey through Anatolia by many years of moving through remote and untamed landscapes. My focus is not on collecting places, but on experiencing them fully. For me, landscape is never separate from human meaning. Land and history are deeply intertwined here. I guide with calm awareness, practical experience, and deep respect for both natural and cultural processes. The focus is not on performance or extremes, but on presence, humility, and allowing places to speak in their own time.

🏡 Accommodation Details Accommodation throughout the journey reflects the nature of the route and the landscapes we move through. We stay primarily in simple guesthouses, small hotels, and occasional rural accommodations along the route, chosen for their location, calm atmosphere, and connection to place rather than luxury. At the beginning and end of the journey, accommodation in Kayseri and the starting region allows space to arrive, prepare, and gently close the experience before departure.

Göbekli Tepe

Tag 3
Göbekli Tepe predates agriculture, cities, and written language. Built more than 11,000 years ago by hunter gatherers, it challenges the idea that complex belief systems came only after settled life. Massive stone pillars carved with animals were erected, used, and deliberately buried by people who were still living nomadically.

From Reflection to Integration After days shaped by movement the journey begins to stay at one place. From Konya, we continue by road across wide plains toward Cappadocia. Volcanic formations, valleys, and eroded rock landscapes gradually replace open farmland. 🌄. The following day is dedicated to experiencing Cappadocia from different perspectives. At dawn, there is the option to rise gently in a hot air balloon , drifting above valleys, fairy chimneys and ancient cave dwellings carved into stone. Later, we explore on foot 🚶, moving through paths and rock formations. The final active day remains deliberately open. Depending on energy levels and conditions, another valley or an underground settlement may be visited 🪨. There is time for journaling 📓, conversation, rest and individual wandering. 🪨 Visit a different valley or an underground settlement, depending on energy levels and conditions 📓 Time and individual exploration 🏠 Overnight Simple accommodation in Cappadocia
