Accommodation in a share room (2 people per room) in a cozy 160m² cottage with sauna. Breakfast, lunch and dinner included. Truly unique opportunity to (learn to) ski/snowboard in a winter wonderland, explore Lapland's wonders and meet amazing people. 📢 Please check my other trips or contact me directly if these dates don't work for you. If you have anything to ask, feel free to ask me anything, I am always happy to chat! ☺️ Spend an unforgettable week in Finnish Lapland skiing/snowboarding, hunting for northern lights, getting to know local culture while in a company of like-minded people! This 4-night Ski Camp is organized in Levi, Finland's most visited ski resort, offering 44 slopes, 26 lifts and over 38 kilometers of versatile slopes that are both exciting for experienced skiers and comfortable to learn on for beginners. Levi offers a unique and breathtaking scenery, and its location is a perfect balance between untouched nature and vibrant activity. Just 30-minute drive from Levi's lively center - filled with restaurants, shops and aprés ski bars - you can find places so tranquil and pristine that they almost feel unreal. But our camp is not all about skiing. While in Lapland, it would be a crime not to explore its other gems. After an afternoon on the slopes our minibus takes us to the next adventure. There are two activities included in the price, northern lights hunting and Nordic spa visit. In addition to that, you can join husky, reindeer or snowmobile safaris (read more below). In addition, we are going to have a chance to go to sauna almost every evening, make amazing hot chocolate and grill under a starry sky. ⭐ACTIVITIES: Ski camp is a holistic experience, that is why on most of the days we will spend the second half of the day exploring Lapland's wonders. The camp includes different planned activities. Through the activites you will get an opportunity to learn about the local culture and experience breathtakingly beautiful nature. Planned activities include: 🌌Northern lights hunting: Northern lights, or aurora borealis, is one of the most magical natural phenomena in the world. Although dark winter nights are perfect for seeing them, light pollution and clouds can obstruct the best view. That's why we embark on an evening road trip with a goal of finding the perfect spot for spotting northern lights. If we're lucky and conditions are perfect, we will even get to enjoy our dinner around a forest bonfire under a colorful sky. 🧖Nordic spa/Ice Swimming: There are two options: Visit Levi Water World for relaxing experience featuring outside jacuzzies, different saunas and different pools. Or alternatively go to a smoke sauna with an ice hole in a lake for winter swimming. Depending on availability and your wishes we will go to one of them. 🐕🦌🛷Husky, reindeer and snowmobile safaris (from 67€/89€/99€): You will also get a chance to go on a husky, reindeer or snowmobile safari. Although definitely worth it, safaris are not included in the price and can be purchased straight from their organizers. But I will drive you there! There might also be other activities available, such as snowshoeing, Arcandia, Samiland and others. ⛷️SKIING: We will have two ski sessions divided by lunch. If you have never skid, I recommend joining 3-day course with three 90-minute lessons. You can also book single lessons. People taking part in the beginner's course will have their lessons in the morning, and those with enough energy for more skiing, can join the rest of the group after lunch for guided skiing. 🏠ACCOMMODATION: Read more about the cottage below. 🍽️FOOD: Most of the food will be homecooked by me. I try to implement as much Finnish and Nordic cousine as possible. If you wish to prepare your own food, cottage's kitchen is at your service, as long as it is not being used. If you are passionate about preparing food, you help is always welcome :) 🚐TRANSPORTATION AND ARRIVING: Transportation is included for all of the planned activities. Before arriving to the camp, we will agree on the pick-up point, for example Levi's main bus stop or the airport. Since people will be arriving at different times during the day, there will be two or three rounds of pickup. Getting to Levi is not included in the price. But I'll be happy to help you find the best suitable travel solution. There are many ways of getting to Levi, since it is a well connected destination. ❓How to reach Levi, Lapland? ℹ️FROM ABROAD: The closest airport to Levi is Kittilä, only 10-15 minutes away. Lapland's most popular airport, Rovaniemi, is only about 2-hour bus ride away from Levi. These airports have more than 60 direct flights to different European cities. There are also multiple daily flights to Helsinki, so with one stop, almost whole of the Europe is easily accessible. ℹ️WITHIN FINLAND: If you are travelling through Helsinki there are 3 different ways to get to Lapland: · Night bus (onnibus.fi/home) from Helsinki to Levi takes about 14 hours and is almost always the cheapest option, but also the least uncomfortable. I have taken the best and it wasn't too bad, especially considering the price and that it is direct. If you have been on long bus rides, can sleep in a bus, or have a really interesting book, you will be fine. The buses are modern and take at least one stop. On the other hand, they can be packed with people, and there is not much leg room, so I really recommend booking the extra leg room seat. · A night train (vr.fi/en) is more expensive than bus. You will also have to take a bus for the last portion of the trip, either from Kolari (1h, recommended) or Rovaniemi (2,5h). Normal seat will probably cost you more than a bus ticket, but trains have restaurants and you can walk around freely. The seats are also comfortable. On the negative, lights stay on throughout the night, so pack a sleep mask with you. Paradoxically, booking a sleeper cabin can be cheaper than both bus ticket or seat in a train, if you are travelling with someone. Unfortunately, VR doesn't allow you to book a single bed in cabin. There are, nevertheless, Facebook groups where people are looking from other travelers to share the cabin with. I will also try to help you find a cabin companion. · Flying is the fastest and most comfortable way of travelling to Lapland. Flights from Helsinki to Kittilä and Rovaniemi are operated by Finnair and Norwegian. AirBaltic offers lowcost flights from Tampere to Kittilä. ℹ️You can ask for more information and tips on getting to Levi.

Hi! My name is Aleks and I am originally from Helsinki, but I'm currently studying international business in Turku. I am passionate about two things: winter sports and travelling. In the past few years I have organized multiple ski trips for my friends and they all turned out to be so much fun! I have also stayed, volunteered and worked in different surf and ski camps, both with kids and adults. I really love the unique atmosphere camps create and can't wait to share it with you! :)

🏠TRADITIONAL FINNISH COTTAGE: You will stay in a cozy 160m² cottage with 4 bedrooms. There are three bedrooms with two separate beds and one with double bed (160cm). There are two separate showers and three toilets, as well as sauna, of course. There is also kitchen, drying closet for ski gear, laundry machine and 55" TV. You can use the laundry machine and kitchen when available.

Levi

Tag 1-2
On your arrival day we will check-in into the cottage at 18:00. I will do multiple pick-up rounds from Levi's main bus stop, Kittilä Airport, possibly Kolari railway station or other. On the first evening we will have dinner, discuss our plans for the week and just get to know each other.

Levi

Tag 2-3
This our first day of skiing. We start our day with a breakfast, a little bit earlier than on the rest of the days, since we need to pickup ski equipment from the rental shop (for those who will rent). Those who will enroll in ski lessons will start their first lesson. At around noon we will head back to the cottage for lunch. After lunch we will have more skiing. After our second session of skiing we well set off to a northern lights hunting that will take at least 3-4 hours, so we will arrive back to the cottage late, at around 22. The sauna will still be ready for those who will want to warm up after the long, cold but magical evening before going to sleep.

Levi

Tag 3-4
Our second morning will begin the same way: breakfast, lessons, lunch and more skiing. After skiing we will have an opportunity to join husky, reindeer or snowmobile safari. In the evening we will have dinner and I will heat up sauna as always.

Levi

Tag 4-5
Same staff different day. We will start our long day with filling breakfast, then head off to ski(lesson). We will have lunch on the slopes, in a traditional goahti, and then ski more. We'll try to do a lot of skiing because this is our last day so we need to explore the last parts of the resort that we still haven't skied. After skiing we'll leave our ski equipment at the rental shop and set off straight to the Levi Water World or Smoke Sauna depending on the availability. After sauna we'll go back to the cottage for our last dinner. Our dinner will also start our little farewell party (if we still have energy). We can choose to stay at the cottage or go to an aprés ski bar to sing some karaoke and dance.

Levi

Tag 5-6
On our last day we will be able to sleep in for longer. Will have our last breakfast together and ckech-out at around 12:00. After that I will take you either to the bus stop, or airport, or other location near Levi.
