Oman Ultra Trail & 4x4 Adventure | Mountains, Deserts & Wadis

Hi I’m Laurits, 24, from Düsseldorf, Germany. I’m passionate about traveling, sports, and pretty much anything that takes me a little outside my comfort zone. I love experiencing countries beyond the typical tourist route. That’s exactly what this trip is about. We’ll start with a real challenge – the 50 km Ultra Trail through the mountains of Oman – and afterwards hit the road with our 4x4s to explore the country. Mountains, deserts, wadis, canyons and hopefully a few adventures none of us can plan beforehand. I first traveled to Oman two years ago and was completely blown away by the country – its landscapes, its people and the feeling of adventure around every corner. Ever since, I’ve wanted to come back and share some of the beauty and experiences I was lucky enough to discover there. This time, I want to take it one step further: combining an unforgettable challenge for body and mind with a road trip packed with adventure, freedom and exploration. I'm looking for adventurous, respectful and open-minded TripMates who enjoy being active, exploring new places and sharing the experience with others.

Throughout the trip, we'll stay in shared twin rooms in carefully selected apartments, local stays and other comfortable accommodations. The focus is on authentic, practical places with character rather than luxury hotels. One night will be completely different: we'll leave the accommodation behind and camp under the stars in the Omani desert, surrounded by sand, silence and the incredible night sky. Accommodation arrangements will be shared with the group in advance, and participants should be comfortable sharing a twin room. The adventure can be enjoyed as a full experience, from the 50K mountain challenge to the 4x4 expedition and everything in between.
